Have you ever dreamed of stepping into a fairy tale? Come experience the magic of our log house, where fairy tale dreams come to life amid the beauty of nature! Perched on a hillside of the famous Hunter Mountain, just a short walk from the ski slopes in winter and mere steps from the lake in summer. With unlimited hiking options and top-notch golf courses just minutes away, our location truly has it all for those seeking adventure and relaxation or a memorable venue for reunions and gatherings.

After years of thoughtful renovations, this once rustic log house has transformed into a modern luxury cabin, ideal for large families and groups of friends. For added comfort, unwind in our luxurious hot tub or rejuvenate in the sauna after a day of exploring.

From May through October you can Swim, Fish and use the supplied Kayaks and a paddle boat at the private lake steps from the house. We're only 1 mile to Hunter Mountain Resort, 1 mile to town, 5 miles to Tannersville & 9 miles to Windham Mtn. 20 minutes to Saugerties and 30 to Woodstock. There are 3 gold courses within 20 minutes and a water park and many other activities within 30 minutes.

In the Winter skiing and snowboarding and tubing are only 3 minutes away at Hunter Mountain 1 mile directly up the road and Windham Mtn is only 15 minutes away.

Family & Friends Long Weekend

The house was perfect for the twelve of us. Plenty of common space room, a large kitchen and table for eat-in meals, comfortable beds and pillows, and the rest of the amenities were enjoyed and appreciated by everyone. Great place to stay. Thank you Nataliya.

Wonderful venue

Beautiful home, lots of room, very large dining table and fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit on cold nights, the hot tub and sauna. Lots of good hiking in the area too. Highly recommended. Host was very responsive as well.

Amazing get away!

Such a great house with so much entertainment for kids and tweens. We had a blast and would love to go back. Great rooms for multiple families. We enjoyed the views and the entire house!

Great vacation house~

Great weekend stay with a large group of friends 1 mile from the entrance of Hunter Mountain. The house was large and well appointed. Plenty of room for everyone! We especially loved the outdoor firepit--but the hot tub was a hit too. Lots of cozy spots to lounge too, both indoor and out. Close to some great hiking spots. Perfect fall weekend!

Great weekend getaway

Spent the past weekend with a large group (10 adults and 2 small children) and this house was perfect! Each couple was able to have their own space while also enjoying a great and open common area. House was very clean and had everything you could need including cooking materials, items for small children and linens. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Week in Hunter!

We had a lovely week at this property! The house was extremely clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for our whole family, ages 7-75. We would love to come back during ski season.

Relaxing luxury

Luxury Lodge accomdated 3 generations quite nicely. But you need to be ready to go up and down stairs.It was great having access to kayaks and the paddle boat so handy. It was clean and comfortable.

The house has everything you need the air conditioning works great.There is plenty of space for comfy sleeping & a awesome fire pit.There is a nice lake down the road a little steep which could be a drawback if you have older folks

Ideal Family Place

Our entire family of 14 were so comfortable here. We've never been able to sit at a dining room table together till this lovely place. All ages enjoyed it. Hot tub great, sauna great, kitchen great. Highly recommend

A Wonderful Family Vacation

This house lived up to all our expectations! The amenities were amazing. The bathrooms & kitchen were well stocked. The living room had a working woodburning fireplace and downstairs had an indoor sauna and outdoor hot tub, all of which we enjoyed!!! There is a huge kitchen table for the whole group to sit together. There was plenty of sitting area on the couches in the living areas. The house was very comfortable & roomy for everyone! The communication with Nataliya was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

Terrific house!

Beautiful

This home is even more beautiful than advertised! It is spacious, clean (Nataliya anticipated every possible need), conveniently located, with lovely pond and mountain views. Fall foliage added to the charm. We were able to enjoy outdoor time with the fire pit, hot tub, walks around the pond and local fall festivals. We look forward to staying here again!

Amazing House for Large Groups

This was our second time staying at Nataliya's incredible home. It's enormous—so much room for large groups. You get a private beach at the pond and can go swimming / kayaking, and the hot tub was perfect at night. Also, Fellows coffee nearby is super fancy, and the small town of Hunter offers antiques and other good food (get a milkshake at Mama's Boy!) Nataliya is also excellent at communicating! Thank you for an amazing trip.

Apres-ski in style

The Black Bear Lodge has all the amenities you need to make your winter vacation a great experience. The layout of the house allows parents and children to relax in different areas of the house for adult time and children play time. This was my 2nd trip back. I highly recommend. Nataliya was a fantastic host.

Great house for large families

The property was great for our family of 15. Everyone had enough space. The kids enjoyed the bunk room and the games. Our only issue was there was dog hair on a large rug in the kitchen which was dealt with very quickly once the host received my message but it was also in the master bedroom. We had someone in our party who is highly allergic to dogs and the house is not pet friendly in the listing. All in all, great weekend away with the whole family.

Wonderful home for our birthday celebration

The property was as described and presented - roomy, well appointed, clean, and close to town. Our group of 10, including our three grandchildren, had plenty of space. The lake access and equipment was a highlight! We hired a chef for my husband's birthday dinner and the kitchen setup, supplies, and grill were perfect for her preparation and serving. We had a couple of small issues during the stay and Nataliya responded right away and had her maintenance guy stop by. A lovely family vacation!

The Big 60!

We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday with our children in this beautiful home nestled in a mountain side community at Hunter! Although the weather was warm and a bit rainy, we were close to beautiful hikes to waterfalls and restaurants in Tannersville. The home was beautifully furnished and there was plenty of room to spread out and have lots of game nights! The hot tub was also fun since it was covered and close to the house. I highly recommended this home for your next family getaway!

Perfect Property!

The house was absolutely perfect for our weekend stay for 5 couples. The property is exactly as listed on VRBO. Super clean with comfortable beds and a very well stocked kitchen. Beautiful view too. Nataliya was amazing - so responsive and extremely helpful. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and hot tub - especially with it having a roof as the weather was rainy. Great location - so close to Windham. The check in process was seamless. I imagine the house is very popular during ski season. We loved our stay at the Black Bear Lodge!

Great house!

We are a group of 13 old college friends who get together once a year for a weekend getaway. We are so glad we chose this house, it was very spacious and accommodated us all comfortably and everything was modern and clean. We loved sitting around the huge dining room table eating meals and playing games. The large and open kitchen contained all the cooking and serving essentials. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms and showers for all. There is no backyard but the front of the house has a large deck with views of the lake, a fire pit and hot tub. The owner responded quickly anytime I messaged and was very pleasant. We would definitely stay here again if we ever choose this area for our getaway.

Great home for a big family

We had so much fun in this beautiful home. Plenty of room for all 14 of us and well equipped for our youngest grandchild with pack 'n play and highchair. The house was clean and well stocked with dishes, glasses, coffee and filters, pots and pans. We loved the firepit and hot tub area and even took advantage of the sauna! Beds and pillows were comfortable. The lake area for our home was beautiful,and also well equipped with peddle boat and kayaks which provided hours of fun, but it was a bit of a hike to get there and coming back was all uphill. The only cons: no closets in the bedrooms, not a lot of space to store groceries, and there were a lot of steps to maneuver inside and out, so be aware if you have difficulty walking or climbing stairs. Overall, great house, great location, great vacation.... would definitely recommend this house for rental!
