"Room and bed was great! Very clean front desk attendance were very pleasant. Only thing we're not crazy about is the breakfast. Nothing to write home about we were disappointed. We would rather have a cheaper room rate and no breakfast then the rubbery sausage and other so-called food. But this hotel chain is the very top of our list"

"We had a great stay! The host was wonderful, very accommodating and easy to work with. The cabins were clean and comfortable. Linn Valley has plenty of outdoor activities, so there was always something to do. Highly recommend!"

"I gave The Courtland an "excellent" rating not because it is excellent in the same way I would rate a 5-star Hilton in downtown Portland, for instance. This is an historic building, in an historic part of Ft. Scott. It is run by ordinary folks and everything in that neighborhood is, well, historic (or old). So, it doesn't have glitz but it does have charm and it is peaceful. I would stay there again if I ever return to Ft. Scott. The owners are wonderful people. "
