The description said we could cool off in the pool, there's no pool, only the spa which is expensive to use. Also described the property as having ocean view, we assumed Ipoh was closer to the coast as it was our first visit, definitely no ocean view!! "The sound proof of the hotel is very bad. Early morning we can hear outside noise so clearly, very noisy. The design of the toilet is very bad too, there is no place to put your things & the whole toilet is very wet after bath. But the staff is excellent, very good service."

The room was okay at first. The bed and the night stands were less than a foot from the floor (too low). The TV was small and all except one channel were in local language. "The property is very cute. Not recommend for family traveling with young children. The free breakfast is amazing. "

"Pleasant stay"

"We didn’t stay at hotel as we left. Carpet was ‘unsettling’, furniture damaged, and AC not working very well. Staff were very sweet and understanding when we said we were leaving. They even paid for our Grub/Uber to the Travel Lodge (15 minutes ride). Hotels.com were very good too although we got our next Hotel at A$35 cheaper going direct through the hotel than through Hotels.com"

"It was very hard to find the check in counter of the hotel, which definitely doesn't look like a check in counter. Also, nobody was there, you are expected to call a number written on the desk (if you can?!). The rooms are clean and nice. But you can hear everything happening in the other rooms and in the aisle."

"Beautiful old colonial hotel with high-quality traditional furniture (perfectly maintained and freshly painted). Exceptionally lovely service by the owner, who pays good attention to needs and advice. Breakfast and lunch is in the same building (from same owner + discount) and in the same style. Also food is near-perfection."
