Relaxing Cabin 30 mins from Downtown Memphis with King Bed at Horseshoe Lake

Great little cabin at Horseshoe Lake, AR, just 30 minutes from downtown Memphis. Enjoy the covered patio surrounding the cabin that's shaded by the towering pecan trees. The cabin features an open floor plan with a large island kitchen open to the dining and family room, perfect for family gatherings! Fully stocked kitchen for cooking meals and enjoying morning coffee provided, and even includes a dishwasher! The decor is eclectic Memphis style along with an acoustic guitar available for those who play. There's a kids corner with a table and toys, along with some adult games and puzzles. In the living room is a Roku Smart TV and wireless internet is also provided.

The Master Bedroom has a Kind Bed and master bathroom with a large soaking bathtub and shower. In the second bedroom is two twin beds and another half bath. In the back of the cabin is a full laundry room with washer and dryer available.

If you have a boat, you may dock it at our boat slip in the canal at the private surf club. The cabin does not sit on the lake, but is only a half mile down the road and I walk down to the lake just about every day that I'm here. You may also fish off the steps at the boat slip in the canal. We're in a cozy quiet community where you'll find lots of people get out in their golf carts or ATVs to cruise around the block every afternoon to wave at neighbors. You're welcome to bring yours as well and there's plenty of parking available.

There's also a large fire pit in the backyard to build a fire as well as a nice gas grill for cooking out.

At times we have a pontoon boat, canoes, and bicycles for rent. Please send inquiry as these are shared between several families.

You pay for what you get. Pros: Reasonably priced Clean Cons: Lake is farther away then thought. Needs some small improvements. There isn't much to do in the area. Overall, wasn't a bad place to sleep.

Scary & Dirty

This home was scary. None of the doors would close or lock properly. You would try to open a door & the handle would fall off or another wouldn’t lock. It had a haunted vibe to it. It had ants, spiders & webs, we were pretty sure it had bed bugs. It was old and desperately needed a deep cleaning. No internet. We had reserved this same house for our return trip but I cancelled. Would not have stayed at all but arrived late at night in the rain. Never again..

Grandkids getaway

We loved this area. We would've loved it more if we were able to have rented a home right on the lake, but otherwise our trip was great! It was nice to have a place for the grand kids where they could get outside amid the Covid-19 outbreak. They fished, and proudly showed off their catch, before releasing them back into the lake. They played tag, had dart gun battles and went for walks. They got so much fresh air and laughed non-stop. In the evenings we told scary stories, played games, and talked about family and life. We all enjoyed our mini vacation.

Perfect Mix

Horseshoe lake was a quiet area with friendly locals. Perfect location for outdoor activities & just a short drive to downtown Memphis for some live music.

Enjoyed our stay. Had everything we needed and owner Lisa was helpful and a fountain of information. The only thing that would made it perfect would have been a view of that beautiful lake but you can't have everything.
