Property was amazing!! Very convenient for our daughter who is in the Marine Corps to meet us for a short visit. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and clean. We so enjoyed having the canoe access as well as the fire pit. I cannot say enough good things about this little piece of heaven back in the woods! The history was a plus too, Jim was kind enough to tell us all about it!! We will definitely be back!!!!

Great stay!

We loved this little cabin! Pretty secluded but still very close to all the near by amenities which was exactly what we were looking for. Fished right off the dock and brought our kayaks for the creek. Huge fire pit for s’mores afterwards :)

Beautiful and Cozy Cabin

Lovely and very private cabin! Comfortable and just right for two people (but it can sleep up to 4). Loved the setting by the creek. Owner is very friendly and helpful!

FUN FAMILY TIME

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Wish we could have stayed longer! The property was very clean and the canoe that is there was so much fun to use!! They have a nice outdoor fire pit & picnic table as well!

Hubert hideaway

Absolutely loved this property! Location was perfect, close to everything yet tucked away from everyone. My wife, myself and my son really enjoyed the cabin and everything it had to offer. I will absolutely be staying here every time we come to town. I can’t recommend this property enough!

Beautiful Cabin!

My 3 friends and I had a great weekend trip here! From canoeing on the river to spending a day at the beach, this property was fun for everyone. Jim was very nice and available for questions or help with check in/out. Will definitely be coming here again!

Lovely Cabin

This is just what my husband and I needed for a relaxing weekend away! The cabin was just perfect, incredibly clean, quiet and cozy. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and even saw fireflies! Check in was flawless. The owners are very accommodating, friendly, and respectful of your space.10/10 would stay again.

Mountain Getaway 20 Minutes from the Beach

We wanted to have a beach weekend, but prefer the comfort of a cabin which is just the ticket here. The location was beautiful and hearing rain on the roof one night, having a cup of coffee on the porch, and getting space to walk around and still feel like you are away from everything is an incredible way to be on vacation. The space is larger than it seems in the photos. Definitely would come back again.

Beautiful Sylvan Cabin

This is a beautiful area, with lots of nature to explore. The cabin is right near a river that leads to the sea (though its a bit more of a paddle than we had time to do). There were walking trails, a fire pit, and the area was clean and dry. Within easy driving distance of public beaches, craft breweries, and (of course) the base. The cabin was small, but cozy, and had everything we needed for a week's stay.

Why would you stay anywhwre else?

This was our 3rd time staying. We keep coming back because this is truly one of a kind! The workmanship on the cabin is top notch. The location and peacefulness is beyond anything. Fabulous Gem

My family got together for a vacation. We all came to NC for a relaxing getaway. I took a chance on this beautiful wooded escape, and I was not disappointed! The cabin was stunning! I can’t wait until our next family getaway, so I can book this again. Quiet, natural nature, and slightly away from everything, yet close-by at the same time. A perfect slice of heaven!

Dreamy!!

The cabin is perfect for a couple or small family. It is incredibly clean and well maintained. Has all the basics for a quick get away with lots of extras too! We really enjoyed using the crab pot and canoe. Owners were extremely kind. The location is ideal with a short commute to Swansboro. Photos just don’t do this little cabin justice! We will be back.

Honeymoon hideaway

Serene location. Easy access, far enough from reality to lose yourself in the tranquility offered by the surrounding nature yet close enough to several towns to not be inconvenienced by things you may have forgotten or found yourself in need of. Owner was very informative, very courteous and prompt to respond to any questions. The cabin was quaint, very lovely decorations, made use of the firepit as well as enjoyed sitting on the dock for morning coffee. Cant say enough about the location or the owner. It is definitely a must see and a must stay again for myself.

Peaceful

We had an amazing time during our stay. Cabin was perfect. Hosts were amazing. Wonderful, friendly and accomodating. Our trip was geared for surf fishing the NC coast in the fall. Conditions were less than ideal with strong wind and currents. Being able to relax on the creek after a rough day of fishing was great. If you like nature and wildlife or just want a quiet place to rest and relax you cannot go wrong with this cabin. We most certainly will be making a return trip in the future.

Amazing

We wanted one more trip before school started!!! We went fishing, canoeing, the beach and Mac Daddys for bowling and arcade. My kids got scared because it was to dark and the owner brought us a night light. There are pigs and a cow just around the corner! The place was spotlessly cleaned and decorated amazing.. The kids start school tomorrow and they are already asleep! What an adventure.

Cabin in the Woods Getaway

We were looking for a small place to stay near our son and his family so we could attend our granddaughters senior play where she had a pretty big role. Hotels are out for us because so many now allow pets, and none of the hotels seem to be very clean. Last hotel experience was a nightmare, so VRBO it is for us when possible. This little cabin fit our needs perfectly. It was built by the owner, using his own trees, so you can imagine the pride he has at stake. It was beautiful inside - quite small - but had everything you could ask for and what you needed. We enjoyed our stay very much and will always try to use that when visiting our son. The scenery outside was beautiful, with a small river off to the side with a pier if someone wanted to fish. It is situated quite a ways off the main road, so you get total peace and quiet - something we enjoy a lot. I would recommend this place to a couple who would just like to get away from the hustle bustle of every day life - it’s a place that will stick in your mind forever. The host was truly amazing and very responsive when needed. You could not have asked for a nicer person to work with. The cleanliness of the cabin will astonish you - it is immaculate and welcomes you to feel comfortable, like being in your own place. A true treasure.
