You get what you pay for

Well, even considering the low price (for western standards) I felt this hotel is below the sufficiency bar. It was built as a holiday grand hotel but poor maintenance make it au par to hostels and 2 stars hotel. Worn out carpet, smoke stench and no heating - a part the noisy AC that doesn't quite make it - render the stay almost uncomfortable; the only good thing being a high pressure shower. Do not expect much help from the desk - english is not that common in China - and even cards payment are declined unless you hold a chinese card.

The hotel is not where it says it is on the hotels.com map, it is actually in Tunxi, but the hotel organised a taxi to the mountain for us.
