"We felt the warm hospitality from Marsu from the moment we step out of the Xincheng Station. Owner Horace was very kind to pick us up from the station and offered help with our luggage. Marsu was spacious, spotless and had a very sweet welcoming atmosphere. Horace was always super open about answering the many questions we have and really easy to talk to. We had some very interesting and fun chats over our stay about Taiwan. We were also given recommendation & drop off/pick ups to restaurants...

"This was an incredible gem of a place. Our host was so friendly and accomdating and drove us around to train stations and dinner since the area is remote. There's a remote beach a few steps away and with literally no one who visits it's very tranquil. The breakfast was delicious!"

"Location by the sea and beach. room has view of the sea. Can hear the waves in bed. Great ocean view and best to see the sunrise. Rooms are spacious and clean. Tv channel is good and wide range. Breakfast is simple but good. Only drawback is the location. kind of isolated but if it is the peace and quietness then this is the place. Just cab in and out of the area. Cab ride around 10mins to get to town."

"We've booked the only room with an ocean view balcony at the top floor (which is also their most expensive room) for 4 people for 2 nights. The room was nicely decorated but was tight for 4 people (not much floor space to walk around with 2 big beds in the room). Bathroom was clean but small again. The other annoying issue was our ocean view balcony (which we paid extra for) was used as a drying area for the homestay's laundry such as towels, big bed sheets and their own personal clothing items...

"Very nice stay in the suite with a delicious breakfast. Unfortunately the earthquake cut our stay short, but they were so accommodating and made sure we were taken care of. What a terrifying thing for the staff to navigate - they were wonderful. I fear the hotel had significant damage and hope they will be able to reopen. "

"Good location, right in the center of town with lots of food souvenir shops & eateries nearby. Thanks to Katy and Charles who welcomed us warmly & were really helpful. Room's small but ok, I like the simple clean design. Love their common area where you can hang out."

"We were staying here during the April 3rd earthquake (7.5). The staff jumped into action to keep safe and care for all guests. We want to commend the hotel for their response in a disaster. Additionally, the hotel was nice, with good amenities. We were not too far from the main area of town. We would love to go back and stay again."
