We had a great time here - wish I had brought my fly rod/reel because the river access looks incredible. Highly recommend. about 15-20 mins into Salida.
We absolutely loved this place. It was clean, quiet, and great for fishing. Only big complaints were that the wifi was awful (no way you could work remotely from here!) and the dishwasher was broken. Otherwise it was excellent and they even left some care items for our two pups
This is my second stay at Blue Bottle. Home is situated in an excellent location and property layout is one of the better that I have seen for fly fishing. The home itself is comfortable and has everything one may need. The property is excellent for dogs with property boundaries fenced. We all agreed that a hot tub would take this property to the next level.
We rented this amazing home as our bridesmaids house for a wedding at Howard Creek Farm. The property is exceptional, very well maintained and close to the venue. The girls had a wonderful visit.
Loved our stay - location with private river access is a dream for fly-fishing. House is very attractive with everything you need. We loved the fire pit and horseshoes. Have already recommended to friends. Thank you!
A lovely and updated property. Beautiful views of the mountains, the river , and the stars. 20 minute drive to the town of Salida for good restaurants and shopping. Would love to see you add some umbrellas to the outside deck for some afternoon shade. Overall a very pleasant property to hang out in for a few days while you explore what the area offfers.
This is our 3rd time staying at Blue Bottle and it just doesn’t disappoint. The house is clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. The kitchen was nicely appointed as well. The fishing - well it was awesome and easily accessible. We will be back
As a family of 3 couples, the property filled all our needs. Very nice and clean inside. The attention to detail and obvious love of fishing saved the day! Since the river was flowing too fast for fishing, a guidebook on area lakes was thoroughly studied and 3 remote lakes were hiked into with success. Had that simple item not been included in the welcome basket, our trip likely would not have been as enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again (maybe after spring thaw is over next time)!
All as advertised, very clean, modern and well stocked residence. Only and I repeat only thing that could have been better was more accesses to the river frontage to fish. Advertised as 1/3 mile (+/-) frontage but so over grown to waters edge only 50/75 ft could be accessed.
And although certainly not anyone’s fault but river never flowed slow enough enter the river to fish anyway in the 2nd week of July
My kids and I had a fabulous weekend at this house. It was clean, kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were beautiful. The river was so close and easy to get to. We loved all the outdoor furniture to view the status and enjoy the mountain air. Our little mini bernadoodle loved it too and felt very welcome. It really is a 5-star place and the only reason I gave it 4 stars for location is because the road/highway 50 is pretty close and the truck noise was a little much at times but we were able to tune it out most the time and truly enjoyed the place. We’ll go back for sure!
BBC was amazing! We enjoyed everything this place had to offer. Learned how to fly fish with “the next eddy” guide(perfect fishing guide) and then got to put the new fly fishing skills to use at BBC river access. Can’t wait to come back.
Modern property with plenty of room. Previous stays in Salida with a dog were always a little more complicated, but you can just walk outside for a hike, go fishing, and enjoy the outdoors with your dog without having to go to the mountains or to a public campgrounds/put-in near the river.
Plus there really isn't any compromise. The kitchen is fantastic, the beds are nice, the patio is great. All around, highly recommend.
Very nice property! Very clean with plenty of amenities. The river was a little deep and fast moving but my sone managed to pull a couple of nice trout out of it!
If you're a little city, it'll seem off the beaten path and yet it is close. The peace & quiet was amazing. The fact that it literally backs up to the Arkansas River is not an understatement! We did a Girl's & Kids weekend and the house was perfect! AND I brought my dog! The winter weather held for us to make the 2 hr drive from Colorado Springs. The snow was just in time to make the quick trip to Monarch. And as Colorado does, melted for the trip home. The management staff! There is not enough words to rate them appropriately. They were amazing! Responsive! And even checked in on us to make sure we didn't get snowed in! The house was beautiful, the pics definitely does it justice and yet is more. I'm definitely planning on planning a stay in the summer so that we can enjoy the grounds more. I highly recommend this house, it's location, and it's management!
We had a great time at our stay! We enjoyed the house, VERY clean and close to many of the things we had planned. We went fly fishing at the house, went on a walk around the trails at the house. Went for a hike in Canyon City. Skiing and snowmobiling at Monarch Mountain which was a short 45 minutes from the house and enjoyed many dinners in Salida, Co (20 minutes away). It was a great vacation and we will definitely be back!
A short walk to the river with wonderful views of the mountains from the windows, we were all so comfortable in the house. Fishing, painting, hiking; simply strolling the property, we were all very happy. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, inviting outdoor seating; we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend.
