Welcome to Houghton View House!! We have a Private Dock, 1.9 Miles to a DNR Boat Launch, 8 miles to the trails of Higgins Lake state park!! Come kick back and relax in this beautiful modern canal-front home just 300 feet from the East Bay. The Hot Tub is brand new and sits adjacent to the covered patio. (pics coming soon) Garage Game room with Ping Pong andPop-a-shot style Basketball!! Our home has been recently renovated to provide the best that Northern Michigan has to offer. Located only minutes from town, this home has something for everyone. Spend the day at the lake, park or yard!!

As you enter the front door of this home, you will be greeted with a large entryway with a full bathroom and shower to rinse off after a long day out on the lake. The washer and dryer are conveniently located nearby, so swimsuits and dirty clothes can be dealt with quickly. Next, take a step up into the recently renovated kitchen with another half bath. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen to prepare whatever meal is on the agenda. To the left lies the 3 bedrooms and another full bath. Leaving the kitchen, take one step down to the well-appointed dining room with a large table with seating for 8. Also nearby is a stocked coffee bar with a variety of K-cups. The stocked board game cupboard sits near the table to provide an excellent opportunity for some “unplugged” family time around the table. Next step into the best room of the home!! The large family room with an exposed brick wall surrounded by 3 walls of windows to enjoy the northern Michigan view and sunshine. On the chilly nights, an easy to use wood pellet stove add just the right amount of warmth to the room. As the day ends and the campfire dies down, enjoy a movie on the 70 inch Smart TV before bed. Just off the family room is the large covered porch with plenty of seating to enjoy those quiet early mornings before the day starts and those lazy summer evenings just enjoying your travel partners.

It was a beautiful house to host family from Jackson, MI and Fishers, IN.The only things you need to bring our your clothes & pick up some food. This house is fully stocked with spices, etc. View of the water from hot tub was beautiful at nite. Fishing on the dock was one of the grandkids favorite things to do.When the grands left, they said “Nana this is the best Fall Break ever!”

Very spacious, perfect for our family summer getaway. Large dining table for games and meals. Enough sesting in family room for 11 of us. Very close to entrance of canal made it easy to get in and out on the lake and docking was a breeze

The "Hot Tub Dock Waterfront Family Get Away was everything it says it was and more. The home was very clean and the most "welcoming" VRBO we have stayed in. The little touches made big impact! From the coffee creamer, spices, tupperware, plenty of bath towels, bath accessories etc. The location is close to anything you may need, and golf of course also! The hosts were very responsive to any questions etc. Perfect Stay - I'd stay again and highly recommend!
