About this property

Quiet Country Apartment Getaway

A quiet country getaway on 20 acres. Located 27 miles from Mt. Bohemia, 15 miles from Houghton (MTU), 3 miles from Swedetown Nordic Ski Trails and just down a dirt road from snowmobile Trail 3. Lots of parking space, even for trailers in winter.

Enjoy a newly finished apartment, separate from our house, located above the garage. The apartment has an open concept kitchen/living room with a bunk bed and queen sleeper sofa and one separate bedroom with a king bed. Access to wifi and a smart TV included.

The space
A full kitchen with a large island to accommodate all your basic needs including: a Keurig, pots, pans, cutting board, dishes, utensils, paper towel, microwave, oven, and refrigerator. Bathroom is fully stocked with essentials and bath towels, wash cloths, shampoo and conditioner, and a hair dryer.

Guest access
Private access to apartment located up steps on side of garage (contactless check-in with a code). Use of fire pit and chairs/picnic table/swing, swing set, volleyball court, outdoor games and gazebo seasonally available. (Firewood for a bonfire can be available with notice).

Other things to note
Our home is also on the property (to the left coming up the driveway) the apartment is located above the garage. Steps are located to the left side of the garage. Please do not park in front of the garage doors so we can get our vehicles in and out. We keep it open with lots of room for parking for vehicles and/or snowmobile trailer.

This location was very quiet, close to Calumet and area hot spots. Comfy beds, more than enough room for two people, nice size bathroom. Easy to control temps and plenty of hot water once it got to the taps. Lots of games and plenty of kitchen gear for cooking.

Loved this space for our trip to move our son into his apartment at tech and as a home base for other activities in the Keweenaw. Very co.fortable and homelikr. Property is nicely secluded. Lots of little convenience items like coffee pods and microwave popcorn. Would love to stay here again for future trips.

Perfect quiet getaway in the country

The unit was just as described and depicted online. The grounds are beautiful and the location is a nice launching off point to Houghton/Hancock or anywhere in the peninsula. Very spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. The owners had all the provisions and supplies we needed for our stay. Highly recommend!!

Peaceful Retreat

This guesthouse was the perfect spot to rest after long day of exploring the hiking trails, waterfalls and mines of the Keweenaw! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The entire place felt clean and comfy. We loved how serene the property was - absolutely gorgeous with fall colors in full swing. Such a gem!

i wanted to stay forever. Although one of the days was cold and rainy the second morning we took advantage of the deck to sip coffee. Such a peaceful environment. Comfortable stay!

My husband, our 9 month old daughter, and I really enjoyed staying here! It was our first time visiting the Keweenaw peninsula and this was the perfect location for all of our adventures. The apartment was extremely clean and tidy. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and cookware. They even had a pack n play for our daughter so that was great! They also had a baby swing outside which our daughter loved. They even provided some firewood for us so we could end one of our days with a nice bonfire by the pond. Amanda was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would 100% recommending staying here!

Toddler approved - Beyond expectations

This was by far the best place we have stayed in the area. We come up every year to visit family and this year we had an extra visitor with us, as we brought our toddler for his first visit. We knew we needed something spacious and private. This was both and beyond. The place was so clean and cozy on top of it. The ammenities were over and above. We wish we had a longer stay so we could enjoy more of what the property had to offer. Kudos for offering a toddler swing, we found time to use it for a moment inbetween family events. We hope to be back! Highly recommend this property for families!
