Northwoods Riverbank Sauna Cabin 16A
What do our guests say about us? Perfect! Amazing! Awesome! We will be back!
As you round the shoreline, the stretching waterfront landscape will catch your eye as you approach the parking lot directly in front of the lodge (Yes! There is ample space for a trailer!). You will use a keyless lock system to enter your cabin.
Open the door and walk down the stairs into your new place. Upon entry, you will be instantly greeted with the aroma of pine which is visible in the tongue and groove walls and ceiling as well as an instant sight of north facing windows capturing a stunning view of the Portage Canal. On second look, you will notice two comfortable queen beds inside a single bedroom among other beautifully crafted pieces of cedar, Amish made furniture.
Each of our hand made, custom milled, northwoods cabins boast a three story duplex including a ground level, garden style unit and an upstairs double decker terrace style unit. This cabin size is 1,000 square feet. They all include full kitchens and washer/dryer units for your convenience and utility.
Walk out the back door onto your patio and embrace the jaw dropping, sweeping beauty of the Keweenaw Waterway in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Whatever your needs may be: Visiting Michigan Tech, snowmobiling (the Bill Nichols trail is only .25 miles from the resort!), swimming at the beach, or skiing (Mont Ripley is less than 2 miles from the resort), we offer a comfortable, comprehensive resort experience for you.
Memories are in the making!

We loved our stay and will book again when we visit our Michigan Tech student. Huge bedroom and living room, all the amenities, and a spacious balcony to sit out by the water. Perfect location!!
I would like to explain my 3 star rating.
If it is solely on the view, it would be 5 star. While it was clean, the refrigerator was not up to the standard of myself and my friends. The one bedroom with two double beds could have easily been made into two rooms. The beds and pillows were the worse I have ever encountered. My hip was still sore three days after we left. Each bed should have 4 pillows that are full and fluffy.
The sauna could have easily been put on the porch instead of in the kitchen. You could have built an extra bathroom.
The amount of cookware needs to be increased
And to prove how bad the beds were, a guest went out and bought a mattress pad.
Note to management: when you market a high end property, you need to have a very comfy able bed and pillows. Guests expect it
