The property is absolutely perfect. The location on Lake Superior could not get any better. We enjoyed the wildlife, sunsets, and cozy cabin. Thanks for a great stay!
Our family had a hockey tournament in the area, and we had a great time at the property. We loved the location and feel of the property. We would definitely stay here again.
In one beautiful fall October weekend, we saw incredible sunsets over Lake Superior, a double rainbow, and the Northern Lights. The home was so comfortable and the check in and check out processes were well communicated. We made some amazing family memories. Highly recommend.
This was an amazing property and we can’t wait to come back! The lake access was perfect and it is a great place to see the Northern Lights! We enjoyed every minute!
Yes, the lake views are the best that we have stayed at and we have been up here about 5 times over several years. The whole vibe was great... my wife and I are rockhounds and the rocky beaches make it very desirable for us, can't say enough about Phillip our host. was so friendly and personable. We already looking forward to 3 weeks next year,Also, the cabins that we have stayed in on our many trips are Fantastic
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely beach cottage. The views of Lake Superior were stunning. It was like having our own private beach for the week with Lake Superior only a few steps away. The summer porch was a favorite and got lots of use.
This cottage is very comfortable in a safe, calm and peaceful setting. It had everything we needed and we were even able to borrow dog beds to make sure our dogs didn't get cozy on furniture! It is a perfect location to explore Copper country. We did several hikes in the area including Mt. Baldy, Black Creek, Eagle Harbor trails, Horseshoe Harbor, and the trail in the town of Central. After hiking in the rain one day, we fired up the common sauna for some extra relaxation.
I have been looking at Storybook Cottage for years and finally found a time we could go. It was everything I had hoped for. The cottage was quaint and perfect for our style of living. And being so close to the Big Lake was a bonus. We will definitely stay again.

The cottage was clean, well-furnished and charming.
We enjoyed our stay at the Beach Cottage. While I had believed we were right on the water, we were just a short walk away. The cottage was clean, well-furnished and had everything we needed. The owner was nearby and responded to a question immediately.
I'd definitely go back!

Felt like we were on our own little corner of heaven!
If you are looking to get away from it all, somewhere beautiful on Lake Superior, one of these quaint cottages will do more than the trick;) Philip was there to check in and make sure we had everything we needed, but we otherwise felt like we had a big beach to ourselves. We enjoyed looking for rocks and took a day trip to beautiful Copper Harbor. We are wishing we could get right back out there because the leaves were starting to change, but the entire area will soon be on fire with fall color! We were more than comfortable here, and hope to return and check out a different cottage in the future.

Needs some TLC
We still hadn’t received check-in instructions by check-in time, and had to contact VRBO. It was easy to get in once we knew how. The house needs some serious TLC. For example, the bathroom door does not close. It was clean though. The listing led me to believe the cabin was right on the water - it is not. You have to walk down the block. The area is quiet and seemed safe. However, the rest of Calumet is run down and dumpy. We will never go back. Overall, the cabin is overpriced for what it is. Also, I’ve never ever seen check-out instructions request that you sweep the floors before leaving ~ that was absurd.
The sauna was a nice addition to our stay. The only disappoint was no DVD player that was listed under amenities. But not a dealBreaker would certainly stay there again.
My husband and I spent 3 nights at the cottage and had a great time. Good location for exploring the keewenaw peninsula. Nice fire pit by the cottage and the sunsets on the beach were fabulous. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
