Do not stay at this "Resort"

I booked this hotel primarily for the pool, which from the algea growth hasn't functioned in weeks if not months. There is no spa as advertised. My rooms had a collection of interesting bugs in it, which was a delight. After breakfast the hotel last power, so no AC to running water no flushing toilets etc. I waited patiently for 8 hours for things to be fixed. I then had to leave due to sanitary concerns. I asked to be refunded one night and the hotel refused. The location is also very inconvenient.

Do make sure you confirm your reservation with the hotel. I had to send to send a friend to the hotel to physically confirm my reservation before I arrived in Mauritania. Do expect check in to take anywhere from two to five hours. We waited an hour and a half for checkin because electricity was down. We found many families who have been waiting for hours for check in. Electricity and internet went down more than three times when we were at the hotel for a week’s stay. Do not expect good customer service, the staff are poorly trained and unprofessional. The hotel is on a beautiful beach, but the beach and the hotel’s own front yard are littered with plastic and garbage. The rooms are beautiful and clean, with massive closets and decent restrooms. However, the water sometimes goes off, there is hardly any hot water, and the water pressure is very weak. There are massive cockroaches and bugs that sometimes make their way into the hotel. The pool is sometimes filled with floating dead bugs and creatures. All in all, it’s a hotel with great potential. They have the facilities to be great. They just aren’t managed well.

Je me suis présenté à la réception de l’hôtel vers 3h du matin épuisé après un long voyage. Ils nous ont dit qu’ils n’ont pas de réservation à mon nom et qu’ils sont complet pour cette nuit ! Du jamais vu !!! 😡 Avec ma femme nous étions choqués dégoûtés sans voix 😳 Nous sommes parti au milieu de la nuit chercher une autre résidence… Horrible! Fuyez !!! Ne jamais réserver à distance pour cet hôtel !

Hotel propriétaire quatari, professionnalisme zéro

Sur un séjour de 5 jours, plus de 2,5 jours sans électricité dans la chambre et une partie de l'hôtel. Aucune excuse du personnel de l'hôtel. Durant ce séjour ma chambre n'a pas été nettoyée, oublie de leur part. Demande de leur navette pour prendre mon vol retour, au bout d'une attente c'est le directeur qui a fait office de navette.... sans aucune excuse, on ne m'a même pas offert une boisson. Restauration: les plats sont acceptables mais armez vous de patience, entre 30min à 1h d'attente pour être servi. Pour info, l'accès à la piscine est payant (10€ environ), une aberration. En résumé, un professionnalisme inexistant.
