Our family loved staying at the historic Vaughn-Palmer house for our daughter's wedding. It was very clean and tidy and smelled nicely scented instead of musty. It worked great for adults downstairs and teens upstairs. The mattresses and pillows were really comfortable. There were enough chairs for a gathering of 20. The sunroom is a great early morning hide-out. The kitchen and laundry room were outfitted with everything we needed. The only thing lacking was that I was unable to correspond with the owner about what was available for use for the wedding such as pitchers, tablecloth, silverware, etc. I am not sure if that is a VRBO policy or an oversight that my question was not seen. Turns out they had everything, but I had packed up an entire SUV of serving things (and just needed 2 bowls). I also would have liked the dead bushes and trees trimmed, but I know the deep winter freeze has put all of us in the south a bit behind. We can just edit out the dead limbs from the photos. The lawn was freshly manicured and looked lovely for the photos. Overall, the venue was great, the owner was helpful upon check-in and with questions during the stay, and it was a nice location in downtown Hot Springs: easy to pick up breakfast food for the wedding party just minutes away. Many thanks to the owner Wendy and her housekeeper Rhonda.
