"The amenities and front desk service make this hotel. The public bath, sauna, free snacks, coffee/tea etc. The front desk helped (often in English) with taxis, directions, recommendations and luggage forwarding to another hotel. The room was very small, but manageable."

"This hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the JR Takamatsu train station (which itself appears to be a major bus hub with both express and local buses). Maybe a 5 minute walk on from the JR station is the Kotoden Takamatsu-chikko train station for other connections. Not much further away is the ferry port which has ferries to Shodoshima, Naoshima and other places. In summary, the hotel is in an excellent location for transportation. I should mention there is another Toyoko Inn hotel slightly...
