This little hotel is in a great location except that it is on a hill making it difficult to walk with luggage from the train station. Oir room was very clean and comfortable for our short stay. The ataff were wonderful. Josephine was especially helpful. She answered all of our questions and suggested some amazing restaurants and shops. She also helped with directions. Good job Josephine!

The perfect spot!

This hotel was a great find! The location in LKF couldn't be better for accessing the area's restaurants and bars. The room, while compact (as expected in HK), was spotless and perfect for our needs as a central hub. For the price, it's definitely the best value we encountered, and we wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Cozy, convenient hotel

Butterfly on LKF is lovely - centrally located, comfy rooms, very cool lofting options. LKF is a busy area at night and it can be a bit noisy but the hotel is quiet and calm.

the location of the hotel is very good. with 5-8 min walk to the metro. The resto options in the area is really good. Access to the mall is 10 min walk. Lan Kwait Fong generally is "hilly" so the walks can be tiring at times. the hotel service is top notch. They were very helpful and friendly at all times. Everything works with this hotel. Perfect value for the price.

Great if you like to go out

The hotel staff were amazing and the property condition was great. But be aware this hotel is in the heart of soho so is quite noisy on the lower floors. However the upper floors are more comfortable and as long as you’re prepared for the level of noise from being in party central of Hong Long you’ll have a great time. We had a great stay, although we did ask to moved rooms after the first night. However based on the number of reviews that state this, this is really our fault not the hotels fault which is advertised as being in the heart of soho. If you’re looking to go out in LKF, great but probably not the best for family’s

Great stay!

Fast check-in. Kind and efficient staff. Checked in 10 minutes to 2:00 pm so had to stay on a low floor (9th) with a handicapped room, would have preferred higher views. No more than two people can stay in these snug rooms. The shower was uncomfortably low and made a mess because there was no tub or barrier for the water. However, overall the stay was comfortable without noise issues or anything. Amazing central area for a day of being a tourist before a flight.

Its located up the hill, quite tiring to walk back to the hotel after a long day shopping in HK. Worst when the cab is unwilling to drive all the way in. Famous food chains are just around the corner.

Recommend for a short stay (1-2 nights)

The location of this hotel is perfect - a few minutes walk to Central Station and surrounded by tons of great eats and drinks. Yes, it's right in the heart of the main party/nightlife area but as long as you're on one of the higher floors (18+) then you don't really hear the commotion coming from the streets. The staff is very kind. The shower design is horrible - our first one leaked so much that we had to move rooms. And then in our second room our shower still leaked as well. Carpet/furniture is very stained in both rooms we stayed in.

Lovely - but take heed of noise

Really lovely hotel. The rooms were modern, spacious, clean and had everything you would need. The bed was comfy and the shower really great. The hotel team were very friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel. The location of the hotel is at the centre of the very busy and noisy LKF nightlife - so it gets really noisy at night. The hotel thoughtfully provide earplugs and I can sleep through anything so it didn't spoil anything but it should be a consideration when choosing. If you can cope with noise then don't miss out on this gem!

Convenient and cosy

Check in and out is efficient. Sometimes it takes a minute to wait for the lift. When checking out, the cleaning staff had to occupy the whole lift so we had to wait for the next lift. The air-con in the room is too strong even putting the wind level to lowest, its a little noisy. The wallpaper outside of the room is strange, looks like a karaoke place. Location is extremely convenient, a few minutes to Tai Kwun and various restaurants (affordable) nearby.
