Nice comfy place to stay. Huge delicious breakfast. Super delicious homemade jams. However we could not connect the TV to MSNBC News. We need some news when traveling.

Thank you for your review, we enjoyed having you here. I am sorry that the Horizon Satellite has not been able to fix the reception issue yet for your room. It frustrates me as an owner since I pay for the very service you say you have NOT received. I have had them 2 x to fix the problem this summer and it has continued but for your room only for that I apologize. I want nothing more than happy guests.

We only had one night here, but wished we had a dozen more. The house is amazing, the view was spectacular, the staff were fantasic. Even the dogs were great to play with! Would recommend 1000 times! Definitely coming back here next time.

Maria is a pro at running this B&B. Makes you feel at home. Piece and quite when we wanted it. Conversation and recommendations from Maria when we wanted it. The breakfast and chatting with others staying in the B&B is the best part. Maria can cook. Bought her cookbook, some of her preserves and some canned smoked salmon for home.

The property was very nice. The staff was also very accommodating and gracious. The unit we were in was directly under the seating area and kitchen above and when the activity started up there it was time to get up.

Beautiful view and friendly hostess. Breakfast schedule is hard if you have plans in Homer - we missed it unfortunately. Friendly dogs, but dog hair everywhere.

HI Erica, Thank you for your review. I am sorry that the breakfast hours of 7:30 and 8:30 did not work for you. We do have cereal on the counter for anytime. I do not allow dogs in any private room areas. So, I am surprised to see you found dog hair there. We actually have hallway doors to separate the dogs completely. We clean daily every room on the list to be cleaned, including vacuuming and sweeping and mopping. Daily all main living areas floors are swept and mopped after breakfast and again in the evening before bed. I'm sorry your opinion did not reflect the work to keep the B&B in good shape. July is a very busy month as a result I have an extra hired help just to deep clean the floors once a week, under couch's and stairwells. I will consider how I can do more. I do see other review about how clean the B&B is and want to consider those reviews as well. I do own four dogs and the fur is a consistent battle for me and my staff of three. It sounds as though your stay was not the best fit and I apologize I didn't recognize that. I have no trouble keeping the dogs in their separated dog yard/cabin if I see someone has an issue with them. I wish you well and many fond memories of your trip to Alaska.

We were greeted by a moose when we arrived. The next day, the moose was behind our cabin with her baby. It was really great. Our cabin was outstanding, and Maria and her staff were fabulous. The breakfast that Maria made was amazing. The view was absolutely outstanding and we loved staying there. I would highly recommend staying here.

The view is spectacular. We saw a moose by the road as we drove up. Maria is an exceptionally warm person. She makes everyone feel special. Her breakfast is amazing. A truly unique Alaskan experience.

We had the Blueberry room with a spectacular view. It was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The house has a terrace also overlooking at the Homer spit and Kachemak Bay. The owner, Maria, served us the most delicious breakfast, it was really amazing. If your travels plans take you to Homer, this is tha place to stay, :-)

The owners Tim and Maria were very friendly, sociable, and had great knowledge of the area which they happily shared. The breakfast that were severed were home made with home made syrups and jellies. Some of the best breakfasts we have ever had. The view off the back balcony were of the entire Homer bay and the glacier across the bay. Added bonus, Tim can be hired for fishing and wildlife viewing tours. We will be back.

Majestic view B&B
An amazing view with a host and hostess that are absolutely wonderful. Coffee was on when we got up at 5:00 am and you chose time for your breakfast. And if you are a dog lover, we got to meet Blue who is a super sweet shepherd, bonus for me! Only thing is we are early risers and business folk, so we hope we didn’t disrupt any other guests in the main area. They also have separate cabins.

Host and hostess Maria and Tim are excellent. Breakfast is personalized served by them with help, Lisa. Equally pleasant and giving guidance on what we can do. However, being located in the hilly boonies, getting there and moving about is challenging. Many winding paths with surprising curvy intersections. Don’t rely on real-time google maps etc. internet coverage is patchy, directions freeze up. Find and open the map of Homer within the Homer book that the inn gives you. We were sorry we had only one night there. Overall great place at a very affordable price.

Highly recommend
This was my first experience with a bed and breakfast. I was in love with the little slice of heaven that Maria and her husband have cultivated. It had a beautiful view from the back deck, a wonderful breakfast spread of homemade Alaskan syrups and jams and pastries, and a very family atmosphere. We met families from all over and enjoyed good conversation. I would definitely recommend this B&B if you are not from our state. They offer boat tours and fishing excursions curtesy of the husband of the home. They are very knowledgeable about the Alaskan way of life and you will get the full experience. We even got to see a mama and baby moose in the back yard. As a long time Alaskan,the novelty has yet to wear off when seeing these animals in the wild.

This bed-and-breakfast lives up to its name. Not only is the view breathtaking but the cabin I stayed in was beautifully done and comfortable. Maria and Tim are very welcoming and the breakfast was out of this world. I definitely hope to stay again when visiting Homer.

The view is probably the reason to book this property. It's breathtaking. But the reason we'll remember it is the host. Maria was wonderful, and prepared a delicious breakfast every day with local ingredients. Breakfast time was a great setup for brief social interaction with other guests.
