  • This quaint cottage is located "on the beach" - 3007 Avenue F Unit 4 at 30th Street on beautiful Holmes Beach. It is the upstairs unit (1 of 2) with a private deck and direct Gulf views. The cottage is very comfortable and sleeps 4 with plenty of space. The cottage is hidden away on a dead end street away from it all, yet close to shopping and restaurants.

    The unit has a large shower, fully equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer. The grounds are filled with exotic, tropical plants and a private guest path to the beautiful blue water and white sand beaches of Anna Maria Island.

    There is a free trolley that picks up throughout the day and evening located just one block away. The unit is centrally located between Bradenton Beach and Anna Maria where there are also several shopping areas and many restaurants. St. Armand's Circle, Robinson Preserve, Bradenton's Riverwalk, DeSoto National Park and Ringling Museum all make for great local day trips!

    Join us at Holmes Beach for the most beautiful sunsets and experience the tradition of Old Florida.

    These are older, charming units built in the 50's that we continually update. Housekeepers clean at the beginning and end of each guest stay.

    Can't beat the gulf views and the sunsets....

Parking - Located at the rear of the unit. Take 30th Street West toward the beach, then right on Avenue F down the alley.

Pets-Dogs must NOT bother neighbors or other guests. Pets must also be leashed at all times. Pet fee is required. Pets are not allowed on the beach.

Noise Ordinance - Holmes Beach maintains a strict noise policy between 10pm and 8am.. Please refrain from gathering on the deck/balcony after 10pm.

My favorite stay on AMI

The location of this place was so convenient to everything. Not to mention the beach being right outside the door. They had beach chairs and towels for my stay and everything I needed inside the unit. It was great having washer and dryer and the thermostat was at a perfect temp all week. I honestly couldn't even tell you where the thermostat was in the unit, I never had to adjust it. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great location on edge of the Beach

We had a great stay here. The location was ideal for us, on the edge of the beach. Close to the trolley and Publix only a few minutes walk. Communications were prompt and helpful. The unit had character and we loved the deck which gave a view of the beach and the sunsets over the gulf. We hope to return again next year.

Overall it was a great trip and location. While we had no issues, it could use some updating. It was a little cramped for 5 people for sleeping arrangements. We realized we need to look for a bigger place next time. However, I can't say enough how great the area and location was! Host was very communicative and assisted with every question.

Location and view! Clean, old Florida charm. Several beach chairs, one umbrella, wagon, pool noodles and cooler available for use for 2 units. Exactly as the photos showed, no surprises. Washer/dryer in unit, we came with only a backpack. I had several questions that host answered promptly. We would definitely stay here again.

Island Vibe

Staying on the beach is always the best! This cottage represents the island vibe we love most. Traditional house that doesn’t take up a huge footprint, and just feels like an authentic beach cottage. Bed was comfy, adequate supplies, perfect for two. I believe we had a cleaning person shortage on our check-in day (according to the owner) so we found the cottage needing some of own cleaning attention. I am hopeful most guests would feel confident on any other day to rate the cleanliness 5 stars.

The view and location of this property was the absolute BEST. You can see the most beautiful sunsets from your very window and when you wake up in the morning you can see the most beautiful views of the gulf and dolphins. And it’s within close proximity to everything you would want to be near. It’s also peaceful and quiet…… however, we never got any good rest nor sleep because of the awful mattress(es) and it needs some updating inside. When you go on vacation you need to be able to rest and sleep ,which is more important than any of the above positives I mentioned.

Great accommodation, lousy owner communication

Clean throughout, nice partial beach view from balcony, easy beach access. If we could ignore the ugly response from the owner to a door locking problem the trip would have called for 5 stars all the way. In brief, we had initial trouble unlocking the door upon arrival, but finally got in. The code lock was loosely mounted and, apparently, the signal was weak. When attempting to lock the door to go out the first time it would not work. A light should show up on the key pad and an "unlock" or "lock" sound should be heard. The guest manual stated "text me for any issues" or similar words, so we did just that. The response was a GIF of a cartoon guy shrugging. Not only unhelpful, but arrogantly obnoxious, as was his subsequent ignoring of phone calls and texts requesting assistance that first day. During the entire nine day stay we had no follow up from any owner or representative. Consequently, despite having an overall pleasant time at the property we would not return. VRBO: take note.....your operation has the ability to either condemn this type of guest treatment, or remove the listing.
