Unwind in sweet seclusion at sandy beaches like Opononi and Omapere and walk through the nature reserves of Signal Hill and Waipoua Forest, where you’ll find those amazing kauri trees. For something a little more extreme, take a water taxi to the dunes for sand boarding.
