"The rooms were very clean, and had everything we needed. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. It is an older property that has been brought up to modern standards as well as possible. Our room was large, a happy surprise. They have made delightful places for people to sit outside, both under cover and under the stars. "
"This place was a 10 all around. It’s clean, cozy, comfortable and had so many nice amenities - laundry, laundry soap, fresh ground coffee, creamer, organic teas and more. The bed is super comfortable and the pillows are of high quality. "
"What a fantastic place this is! The room, the view, the friendly owner has met every need possible. It felt homelike and special. Details such as a personal microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker and even our own ice maker make this even more special. Have a soaking spa tub and separate shower with multiple heads makes this place an 11 out of 10. "
"Kenny at the front desk was amazing along with Jolene from my agent at hotels. Com chat. They were both working together to make us happy and they did. Kenny was very friendly at the hotel. Because of those two I will use hotels.com again "
"Dark Canyon was indeed a great off grid experience. The 360-degree views around the cabin with no other humans around offered something not found very often. Sitting on the deck at sunset while enjoying a glass of whiskey and looking at the Bears Ears was truly a western experience. The sunrises make you want to get up early just to experience the beauty. It makes you understand the use of pink and turquoise in the Native American art of this region. The wildlife around the cabin was wonderful. At night the howling of the coyotes and bugling of the elk and the deer grazing by the cabin was so nice, it let us know we were the visitors to the area, they owned it. The fact the cabin was dog friendly and we were able to travel with our two dogs made the trip for us. They are large dogs and enjoy hiking and being with us. They are well trained to not bother the wildlife, this would be essential in this area. "
