Our delightful four bedroom home is in the true heart of North Hobart. Everything you need is on offer in the charming residence. With 1 bathroom and 2 toilets, a fully enclosed private garden with BBQ you're set for a great stay. The location is excellent. Off street parking is a real bonus is this thriving area.

Strahan House has all you need to enjoy a stay that’s as adventure packed or relaxation filled as you desire. Offering four bedrooms across two levels, a fully equipped modern kitchen and a brand-spanking-new bathroom – you will not be disappointed.

Up to nine adults and one infant can call Strahan Street home, with two large bedrooms on the ground floor, and two cosy bedrooms upstairs – all with brand new, top-of-the-range mattresses in place to support rejuvenating slumber.

Stepping outside, there’s a fully enclosed courtyard that’s the perfect backdrop for an afternoon’s reading or the popping of the Champagne before your evening escapades.

Strahan House is ideal for business travelers, adventure seeking explorers, those eager to wind down with a glass of red in hand, and weary mums and dads with tots in tow.

For the infant-driven sleep deprived among us, a travel cot, Baby Bjorn highchair and selection of toys are happily provided upon request.

For those travelling on four wheels, much sought after off-street parking for one car is ready and waiting.

IMPORTANT please ensure you book for the correct number of guests who will be staying at the property. Visitors are not allowed at this property. Only guests included in the booking can be present on the property.

You'll enjoy full and private access to bedrooms, living areas and outdoor space.

Two queen size bedrooms are easily accessible on the ground floor, and another two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with two singles) are upstairs. Please note that the stairs are steep (in-keeping with the era of the house) so people with mobility concerns are best to occupy the downstairs bedrooms. We have a stair safety gate available when young children are staying.

You'll have full and private enjoyment of the house but we live locally so, should you need anything, help is on hand.

Located in the heart of North Hobart – Hobart’s buzzing restaurant precinct – and literally a stone’s throw from the impressive State Cinema, Strahan House has a movie theme – think Clarke Gable, Alfred Hitchcock, James Dean and other cinematic legends.

An $8 Uber or an easy 20 minute walk are all that separates your base camp from Hobart’s CBD and waterfront. Throw in plentiful restaurants and bars on your door step, it’s obvious that the location can simply not be beaten.

Getting around couldn't be easier. You have off-street parking available, a bus route literally around the corner, an easy walk to the Hobart CBD and waterfront.

Guests contained on the booking are only permitted on the premises. Guests who aren't on the booking are not to be at the property at any time.

Check in and out times are strict as we require the time between for cleaning.
Ensure the house is left clean and tidy and secure with doors locked and windows closed.

Please ensure you have booked for the correct number of guests.

Only guests included in the booking are allowed at the property. Visitors are not allowed.

Cigarette butts and associated liter must be disposed of appropriately.

The person making the booking must be a guest staying during the entirety of the stay. Booking on behalf of others is not allowed through Airbnb.

Strictly no smoking. A fee of $150 applies if smoking has occurred in the property.

Infants are welcome. A travel portacot is available for $25 per stay.

Additional charges may apply to unauthorised late check outs or early check ins.

Check in is strictly after 3pm as we need time to clean. Early check ins are rarely possible.
