Great views in an unbeatable location - only a 2 minute walk to Salamanca - Hobart's vibrant cultural precinct, a 5 minute walk to the renowned cafes and restaurants of Hampden Road, and a 10-15 minute walk to the waterfront and city centre. The perfect place to base yourself whether visiting for leisure or business. Secure undercover parking for small to medium size vehicles.
THE SPACE - One bedroom apartment located on the third floor up two flights of stairs (no lift) with open plan living, dining, kitchen and study/sunroom. Modern furnishings with all the comforts of home. Unlimited broadband internet access.
PARKING - Secure parking available in lock up garage for standard vehicles (height restriction due to roller door, large 4WD or vehicle with luggage on roof racks not acceptable). Note a $100 replacement fee will be charged if the remote key for the roller door is not returned. Free parking is also available on the street. A 2-hour limit applies 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and 9am-3pm Saturdays.
LIVING AREA - 3 seater leather couch,Tasmanian oak coffee table and entertainment unit, smart TV with Netflix, JBL Soundbar with Bluetooth for playing your own music.
KITCHEN - Quality appliances, utensils and tableware. Basic cooking supplies are provided such as oil, herbs and spices, as well as coffee, and a selection of teas. Cereal and milk for a few days also provided for quick breakfasts.
DINING - 4 seater table right at the window with great views.
SITTING AREA - Leather sofa with double bed that is made up for extra guests prior to check in. Please advise at time of booking if the sofa bed is needed when booking for two guests. Note the Sitting Area does not have a door - it is part of the open plan living space.
BEDROOM - Spacious built in mirrored wardrobe, marble top bedside tables with reading lamps, luxurious warm queen bed with professionally laundered linen.
EN-SUITE BATHROOM -walk in shower, vanity unit, heated towel rail, Miele combination washer/dryer, toiletries provided. Note - bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom.
FOR 2 GUESTS WANTING SEPARATE BEDS - If you would like the sofa bed made up and staying with only 2 guests your booking will be amended by an additional $30 per stay.
HEATING / COOLING - For those warm days (very few in Hobart!) there is ample cool air flow by opening windows or using the oscillating fan. On those chilly days there are two panel heaters available and extra blankets. There is no heat pump / air conditioning.
CHECK IN/OUT FLEXIBILITY - Earlier check in and later check out may be possible dependent on other bookings.
FAMILIES - While we welcome families there are limited facilities for toddlers and infants. A booster seat that straps to a chair is available for feeding. A portacot / travel cot with a bassinet and change table is also available. The window in the dining area is low so families with toddlers may like to keep this closed at all times.
GETTING AROUND - Just about all you need is within walking distance. if you're travelling further afield the bus interchange is a 15 minute walk. The apartment is a 25 minute drive from the Hobart Airport. The Skybus airport shuttle drop off / pick up point is at Brooke Street Pier, a 10-15 minute walk.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD BATTERY POINT - Hobart's village feel prime residential area characterised by historic buildings. The popular Jackman & McCross Bakery make a mean coffee and is less than a 5 minute walk; as well as the infamous Da Angelos Italian restaurant, Thai and Indian options too. florist, hairdresser and boutique homewares stores. Great to just stroll around the village enjoying the architecture and coastal views.
SALAMANCA - The historic, creative and cultural hub of Hobart is a short 2 minute walk away featuring top cafes, restaurants, bars, Saturday markets, art studios, a theatre, supermarket and a wide range of stores.
HOBART WATERFRONT - adjacent to Salamanca - more top restaurants and bars, home to world-class festivals and events such as Dark Mofo, Taste of Tasmania, Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, Festival of Voices, Wooden Boat Festival. Also launching point for ferries to a range is destinations including MONA.

The apartment was perfect-very well located, gorgeous view, bright and really thoughtfully equipped. Carol was a terrific host - accomodating and responsive.
Better than the pics! Outstanding sunny apartment suited perfectly to our requirements. Excellent quiet location and only a couple of minutes walk to Salamanca Pl. The homework has certainly been done taking great care to include everything one needs to make a stay easy. Without a doubt we'd love to be back again.

I liked the area which was the main reason that I booked the apartment, but there was a problem with parking and we had to park in another standing area for the duration of our visit. The view from the window was overstated, no air-conditioning and the door was very difficult to unlock.
We loved the location of this property, and walked absolutely everywhere (mostly to offset the amount we were eating and drinking!). At the end of the day, the bed was sooo comfortable and inviting so we woke up refreshed and ready to go.
This was our second stay in only a couple of months. Everything again was excellent. I think it’s become our ‘go to’ accommodation in Hobart. Thanks again Carol.
Near the top of a hill in Battery Point. Very close to restaurants, pubs, and Salamanca Markets. Second bedroom doesn't have a door and is a pullout couch. Would be fine for kids.
As stated in the title. Just a note about laundry machine is placed too high. I had to stand on chair to load detergent. Dryer did not work. We ended up hanging to dry our clothes around the apartment while we were sightseeing in the city.

We had a wonderful stay at Scarlett's by Salamanca.
Amazing location was within walking distance to all the cafés, pubs and restaurants of beautiful historic Battery Point to the south and buzzing Salamanca Place and the Waterfront (including ferry to MONA) to the north.
Stunning views across the Derwent River.
We had excellent communication from Carol, who was flexible and accommodating throughout our stay and gave us some brilliant recommendations for local cafés (we loved Ozus on Hampden Rd for coffee/breakky/friendly service in the lovely courtyard).
The apartment had everything we needed, was stocked with coffee, tea, milk and cereals and was beautifully heated including heated towel rail in the bathroom.
Offstreet parking was convenient as surrounding streets restricted to 2 or 3 hour parking on weekdays.
We highly recommend Scarlett's by Salamanca!

Battery Point is the quintessential Hobart experience. Scarlett's location, ammenity and design was a fabulous value add to our 5 day Hobart adventure. We have been to Tasmania many times, however, this particular sojourn was made extra special by our stay in Scarlett's. This apartment doesn’t look like much from the outside but don’t be fooled. It is a sizeable apartment with everything you need. Wonderful location with a scenic 5 min walk to Salamanca. If you like running, easily to find a beautiful run around inner Hobart. Easy check in, good communication
Scarlett's on Battery Point was everything we expected from the listing. A short walk through Princes Park delivered us to the docks for great food and music as well as access to Mona Roma. The apartment was warm and very comfortable with a fabulously well-equipped kitchen. Best bed I've slept in away from home.
This property worked really well for us. Does not look much from the outside, but the apartment is great. Very comfortable, well appointed and maintained with some nice touches. The location is also perfect, in the heart of Battery Point and a short walk to some of the best attractions Hobart has to offer. Highly recommended.

Great views over the river Derwent. Easy walking to Battery Point restaurants and pub. Easy walk into Salamanca and the main city centre.
The communication related to the accommodation was perfect, the accommodation was clean, well presented and had all the bits and pieces required for a comfortable stay.
Great, spotlessly clean, very well equiped, spacious apartment in heart of Battery point. Easy walking distance to city/docks. Very comfy bed. Highly recommend
This property was absolutely perfect, everything we needed for a comfortable stay and so close to everything, lots of fabulous places to eat only a short walk away, couldn't recommend it enough
The apartment was very comfortable, well equipped and has a nice outlook down to the bay. The location could not have been better - just a short walk to Salamanca one way and to Battery Point cafes the other way. Garaging was handy for our small hire car.
