The Space:
Enjoy this 1950’s cottage with historic charm and with modern ammenities. Walk in the front door to a welcoming entrance stepping back in time to a less stressful era. To the left of the front door a substantial living area that boasts a comfortable 6-seater dining suite. The dining area flows onto a lounge room with 2 sofas (one of which folds down into a double bed). Younger guests can lounge about whilst watching videos on the large smart TV or playing a board game.
Walk in the front door to a well-equipped kitchen with coffee machine. Dishwasher, oven and microwave leading to a well-equipped laundry and second toilet. Leading out from the kitchen is a large deck that overlooks the garden. With an outdoor dining table and chairs, and gas heater there’s even a BBQ!
The home sleeps 7 guests, including three bedrooms and a double fold out sofa bed in the lounge room. The main bedroom has a king-size bed with built in robe, and desk and chair overlooking the old female Factory. The second bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed, The third bedroom has a queen bed, paired with a desk and chair as well as a mobile cot. Just off the 3rd bedroom is the Main bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. The home has two toilets.
There is garage parking for one very small car, additional space for another car in front of garage as well as free on street parking.

- 3-minute drive or 10-minute walk to Historic Cascade Brewery and Gardens
- 3 km walk or drive to Hobart CBD shops and cafes ( Cascade walk follows the Creek down the road from home)
- Bus route right around the corner.
Guest Access:
Guests have full use of the house during their stay. We are not too far away if you need us and always happy to assist to make your stay a comfortable one
The Neighborhood:
A great little neighbourhood. A visit to the Female Factory (across the road) is a must, and of course the Cascade Brewery tour. There are some great cafes and shops in the area, drop into the Cascade Hotel, for a beer or great meal (book ahead) 5 minute walk from house.
There is also a lovely walk along the Rivulet that takes you into Hobart City, which for the energetic takes approximately 30 minutes.
South Hobart is a great place to stay, as there are many dining options, the Cascade Brewery is just up the road, and about 5 minutes drive to Salamanca and the wharf precinct.
Getting Around:
Best to have a vehicle however if not there's a regular bus service that runs along Cascade Road in to the city.

A very tired property with unkempt grounds. It was clean and well stocked with basics which was good. A little over priced compared to previous stays around Tassie.
