"Excellent traditional experience, onsen is great and the traditional food sets (both breakfast and dinner) are very nice. Only problems I had overall were maintaince going on during my stay (landscaping and some light building work), and some parts of the building are showing their age (especially in the onsen and lobby areas). We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and dinner was basically the same every night - not what I am looking for in a vacation. Still the dinner is very good. "Old fashioned Japanese hotel, but clean environment. Free coffee on arrival and light breakfast was offered. Open air onsen was very nice Only issue was, there was no toilet inside the room which things a bit interesting at night when the human nature was calling.
