"The modern hotel itself is a great facility set in a modern library setting with a variety of interesting books free to peruse. The two outstanding problems with this hotel are (1) access by public transportation is very limited, forcing the guests to hire a taxi to convenient nearby train stations such as Tokorozawa station costing 2,400-2,600 yen each way, and (2) the breakfast purchased optionally is practically the same throughout your stay—three different kinds of sandwiches. "Had concentrated dust in some spots like behind the tv, but nothing a little personal elbow grease couldn't fix. Exceptionally beautiful place otherwise, wonderful service, delicious breakfast, and incredibly accommodating staff. "
"The staff was nice but the facility is old and moldy everywhere. We couldn’t find any other hotels that were available to we stayed but I don’t think I would stay there again because of how old and moldy it was. "

"Loved the beautifully appointed pet-friendly suite. It was perfect in every way - clean, well designed, well appointed, great views of the park. Perfect. The only surprise was the need to make an extra payment to use the pool, even if you are a guest of the hotel. Given how much we pay for the room, it seemed strange to have to pay to use the pool."

10/10 Excellent
"Accommodations were excellent. Owner was very responsive to communication and helpful. Advice to anyone bringing a car- the streets around the property are extremely narrow, and the parking space is very small; a Honda fit was too large of a vehicle. However, the property is a 5 minute walk from two paid lots and a 20 minute walk from two rail stations. Excellent location for a quiet stay and cultural immersion."
"Only 2min. to Tchikawa station!
You can enjoy shopping and dinning! Entrance area is very old fashoned. Free breakfast is not great but so so nbut its free."
"I booked a smoking room and I got a smoking room. The air cleaner in the room works great and the room is bigger than normal JR hotels. Everything is nice about the hotel. I have been staying in JR East hotel Mets for sometime now and I am beginning to get hooked to it.
If I were to nitpick, I do need to carry my luggage up a few steps twice to get to the lobby of the hotel. Not a deal breaker but for smaller ladies who are not so strong, do take note.
