Family Vacation

Great family vacation house! Lots of room and plenty of bathrooms (with hot water) for all. Ages ranged from 3 months to 80 years old. A fun time was had by all.

Fantastic house and hosts!

We loved our stay at the Lighthouse! Our family of 12 was very comfortable and enjoyed all the amenities. The house has a perfect outdoor space with a pool, hot tub, games, tv's, outdoor shower, grill, everything you could need. The house was very clean and well stocked.The owners and property managers were great to work with. The owners have thought of every detail and were very responsive. The property managers checked in with on upon arrival and throughout our stay. Every question was answered quickly and any minor issues were addressed immediately. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here!

We had 17 people stay in the house and it was spacious & had something for everyone. The house manager & owners communicated well & responded when we needed something. It’s a beautiful home and worked well for our family.

Summer 2024 HH Getaway

Great location and beautiful home. The owner and property manager would responsive and great to work with. The house was really clean when we arrived and the property manager stopped by to check on the cleaning and see if we needed any instructions on how to use anything in the house. Plenty of room for the 15 of us and having the wagon and the beach chairs onsite was great. Would stay there again!

Hilton Head Family Vacation

Great house and floorplan. Home was clean and easily accommodated our large group of friends and family. Great outdoor space with pool and hot tub and Coligny square. with easy access to beach and Coli. Only had some minor issues with use of an older grill and a pool light.

Large home near a beautiful, quiet beach

A good location walkable to the beach, a lot of bedrooms, great screened porch, pool and hot tub. Owners are very responsive. There are minor changes that could be done to make the house more functional (a door on the bunk room to limit noise and give privacy, more kitchen towels, end tables & lamps for each side of the bed, etc) but we loved our stay and would rent again!

Our family vacation

The property was clean and ready for our family. It included all the amenities we could have asked including some very nice extras like an exterior shower w/ warm water, an ice maker by the pool, a backup propane tank (which we needed) for the grill, a wagon to haul stuff to the beach, an extra refrigerator in the garage, etc. This house delivered everything we needed. Very happy w/ this rental

Extended family trip

Hands down the best home we have ever rented. We like to cook and the kitchen was very well stocked. Location was great. Just a short walk to the beach and the public access where there was shopping and restaurants. The bike trail was right across the street. Our only issue was the small elevator as we have a son in a wheelchair so make sure you measure a chair if you are bringing one. We failed to double check the measurements the owner gave us and luckily found a place we could rent a smaller chair for the week. Pool area was very nice and was cleaned twice a week. The house fit a lot of people very comfortably with very nice rooms for everyone in our party of 13 adults and 5 kids. We could rent here again in a heartbeat.

Golf Trip

The house was perfect for our needs. Everything was as described. Layout works great for a large group, plenty of room to gather, both for meals and just hanging out. The support staff were very responsive and proactive, even dropped off addition laundry detergent. The owner was great to work with, and even checked in during the week to ensure everyone was OK. Even though the house is not on the beach, it is very close by and a very easy walk. And a great location to access the rest of the island.

Ideal Stay on Hilton Head

We stayed for a week over spring break, and everything was ideal for our large multi-family group - walking/biking distance to Coligny and the grocery store (with bike path directly across the street), beach a few minutes away, incredible pool and giant hot tub, house was fully equipped. We loved the large bedrooms so everyone had their own space to retreat to. The screened-in porch was perfect for reading or playing games. The giant dining table facilitated large group meals. The host and house manager were easy to reach. Overall this was a perfect rental and we’d happily stay here again.

Fantastic week on Hilton Head

The house exceeded all of our expectations. It is better than the pictures show. There were 17 of us and there were lots of tucked away spots for small and large groups to gather. Nearly all of us could sit down to the dining room table for meals because it is huge. The pool and hot tub got plenty of use. The Shops a short walk away were awesome for souvenirs, groceries, ice cream and etc. There were lots of great pool/beach toys, games, and beach chairs. We appreciated the owners providing an extra pack-and-play and booster chair.

Christmas Memories!

My family had an amazing time over Christmas! The weather was not wonderful but the home we stayed in was! It was everything our family of 15 could have wanted. The pool was a huge attraction for my grandchildren and the hot tub was well used by all. We loved the dining room table where we could all gather to tell stories, laugh, play games or have dinner together. The house was as described. It is spacious, well stocked, beautifully furnished and extremely well maintained. The owner and property manger were in touch from before we got there until we left and always willing to answer questions. The location was fantastic. We could go for long walks, bike rides, or just play on the beach. Thank you Adam and Rena for you hospitality

Awesome Family/Beach Vacation!

This was our first vacation which included my two sisters, their families, my children and grandchildren! It was everything we were hoping for! Great weather, great location and a beautiful home! My 5 year old grandson said it was the best house ever and cried the night before we left! They all wanted to stay! There was plenty of room and we had 12 adults and 4 children! The beach was a short walk, very easy! There is everything there you would need for the beach! The property owner was in contact and very accommodating! The property manager was outstanding! We would highly recommend staying at this property!

Amazing hosts!

We’ve been visiting HHI for over 40 years and always rent a home for our visit. This marks the first time I’ve ever rented from someone who is pro-active about making sure we had an excellent vacation! The owner of the property as well as 2 different property managers gave me their contact info before we arrived and each of them checked with us during the week via text. We didn’t need anything that wasn’t already provided when we got there, but I have full confidence that we’d have been taken care of in short order if the need had arisen. I look forward to staying here again. Location was perfect! Near enough to Coligny to make everything convenient…. But far enough away to be quiet / private! Thank you Adam!

Fabulous for large groups

Property was perfect for large groups. We had 15 people ranging from 7-78 and everyone had plenty of space. Well stocked kitchen with extra pantry space. The owner and property manager were extremely easy to contact if needed. The location of the house was well suited on the island but not a direct path to the beach. We had to walk down the main road (only 2-3 houses down) to get to a road with a beach path. We road bikes mainly and there was easy access to the bike path just across the street. Close to Coligny Plaza for shopping and dining. Overall, I would highly recommend this property!

A Cut Above the Rest

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lighthouse! We arrived to an immaculately clean HOME—not just a house, which was perfect for our many grandchildren and adults alike. We had a fantastic time at the beach—a short three minute walk away—as well as fun in the well-maintained pool and hot tub, not to mention the large screened in porch. And the kindness and hospitality we experienced was unprecedented—from Heather’s welcome card and bottle of wine that greeted us (a first in the 25+ years we have been Vrbo-ing!), to the property manager, Rena, dropping by upon arrival to ensure we knew how to operate the many amenities, to Adam checking in with us before, during, and after our stay to be sure all was well—which it most definitely was. The Lighthouse is a gem, and we were fortunate to find this treasure!

Couldn’t have asked for more

We take regular vacations with our grown children and their children. This was one of our favorites! Our group was nine adults and five children…there was ample room for the adults to have their privacy and plenty of space for the cousins to connect. Pool was a generous size and lots of pool toys. Also enough beach chairs and sand toys for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped with Decent cookware And plenty of dinnerware, flatware, and glassware for indoors and out. We rented bikes and a golf cart which made it easy to get around. The beach access was a quick 3 minute walk. The house manager was very helpful with any issues we had… I feel like I made a new friend In Miss Rena 😊. Don’t hesitate to rent this beautiful vacation home in Hilton Head…we’ll be back for sure!

Family reunion trip

Our family and extended family members recently stayed at The Lighthouse during the 4th of July week. We had a great experience overall. The home itself is in great condition and very clean. We had close to 20 family members staying and everyone was comfortable in the bedrooms and the overall space. We loved the location and the walk to the beach was pretty easy for our group. The house has a wagon and beach chairs along with beach towels which made things easier to transport items to the beach. We loved hanging around the pool and the our kids had fun playing ping pong out by the garage. The property manager and owner are very responsive if we had any questions. Our air conditioning did go out on 2 of the floors during our stay on the 4th of July which was a holiday, however, we called the property manager and they quickly came over and had a company come out and fix the air within an hour and this all happened at 11pm at night. The responsiveness for taking care of us when the weather was so hot was truly appreciated. The house is nicely furnished and decorated. We loved staying there and had a great time!

Amazing Family Vacation

My wife and I took our growing family (4 daughters and their 4 spouses/significant others) plus 4 grandchildren - total of 14, for our first ever week-long family vacation. Every aspect of our time on Hilton Head and at this beautiful house exceeded our expectations. Too many positive highlights to mention them all, but a few stood out: A. Adam (owner) and Rena (property manager) were great! Helpful and reachable. B. All adult bedrooms had their own full bath. HUGE plus. C. We paid to have the pool heated. Another great feature as the little ones really enjoyed the pool. D. Loved the huge, bar-top height dining table. All 10 of us ate dinner together with room to spare. E. Morning coffee on the screened in porch really got the day off to a nice start. F. Short walk to beach AND town for lunch, shopping and ice cream G. Generous supply of beach and pool toys to use...only recommendation is if there were 2 or 3 beach umbrellas available. H. The spare frig in garage another nice plus...we kept it full of beverages most of the week!! I could go on, but it's fair to say we will be talking about our amazing Hilton Head family vacation at this property for many years to come. And I can say with certainty we will be back.

We had a phenomenal family vacation. Everything was as good or better than we expected. The owner of the property was very cordial and reached out several times to make sure that everything was going great…and it was. My whole family would highly recommend this home; an overall tremendous experience.
