Overall great stay
I was nervous about booking a property without any previous reviews but since we were familiar with HHI & Palmetto Dunes, we decided to take a chance. We were pleasantly surprised. Overall the house was great and we'd definitely visit again.
The house was spacious & clean, the kitchen had everything you could ever need.
Plenty of bath towels and beach towels were provided.
It was closer to beach access than I thought.
The elevator came in handy when bringing in luggage and groceries.
There were a couple of cosmetic issues (large carpet stain 3rd floor hallway & dented fridge in main kitchen) but they didn't bother us enough to affect this review.
The one thing that did affect our stay was a message we received on the morning of our last full day.
The message was from Broad Creek PSD saying they were experiencing a service interruption at the Port Tack Pump Station. It advised we "delay water use that goes directly into the sewer drains-showers, toilets, washing machines- as they may burden the systems and may cause backup".
It said they would send us a message when the system was back to normal. We never received a follow-up message.
Needless to say, it was a very inconvenient 24 hours.
However, this was no fault of the host so I'm not letting that influence this review.
Overall we had a great time & would stay here again.
