"Room is fine, basic self-serve continental breakfast. Not as nice as many B&Bs in this price range we have stayed in. I suspect that ownership has changed since many of the glowing reviews were written."

"To start with positives, the Staff were excellent, helpful & friendly. I have a walking stick and on checking in the Lady at reception insisted in carrying our bag to the room. Everywhere was very clean. We ate in the hotel both nights. The food was excellent, as was breakfast. However the room was very disappointing. Very small & cramped and the lighting very poor. I could barely see to shave in the en-suite. Despite the good breakfast (evening meals not included obviously) the price charged was too high considering the room. Some of the stairs leading to the rooms had no handrail, potential for a fall and again corridors had very poor lighting. None of this would be fault of the Staff. Despite the excellent quality of food & staff based on room, we would not stay there again."
