The cabin was clean and comfortable. It was centrally located to all we wanted to do and see. If there was one thing, I would have liked it to be farther from the highway as the traffic noise was a bit overpowering at times.
The cabin was beautifully angled toward a creek so the boys could fish any time. We rented Razors , Pantoon boats and fished at several lakes. The cabin was in a perfect location to everything. Wonderful hostess!
We stayed 4 days and 4 night in the Bears den/cabin 2. The cabin was very clean. It had everything we needed minus our toiletries and food. Walking out the door to a beautiful bluff and creek every morning was so relaxing. The location was perfect for sight seeing and visiting all attractions in the black hills. And we went to the Dairy Twist on site for both dinner and desert a couple of nights. And although it is obvious that this is a local favorite, it is worth the wait! Great find for our vacation!
Door frame rotten at floor and deck. Had to step over each time entering or exiting thinking that we'd step through.
Mentioned to mgr with no reaponse.
Live mouse. We caught and killed. (Kinda to be expected when there is bait inside the unit that we found after the fact while looking for mouse.)
Other than that, the place was clean, peaceful, great location, great staff, great food at the ice cream shop. We've stayed before but will ask more queations before booking again.
It was just like a tiny home away from home. Central location to everything, but also equipped with all we needed to stay in for meals and hanging out.
The cabin was very nice as well as the outdoor areas to sit on benches by an amazing view of the creek, vegetation and beautiful rock formations. Plus the ice cream store next door was fun!! Staff was amazing!
We stayed in the Bear’s Den cabin during our family vacation in the Black Hills. It was a great spot for our small family and was centrally located to many fun areas.

It was beyond awesome and we can’t wait to go back. The host were literally a phone call away and responded to my text immediately. It was so beautiful there was a creek right there just steps away from our door. We loved it
The property is very well kept and clean. Host was very accessible and helpful. Location is near many attractions and scenery is beautiful. The only negative I can mention is that the shower in the cabin is vary small! If you're a wide or tall person you may feel like you're in a phone booth haha. The shower wasnt a deal breaker but for a large older person it might be a bit difficult.
Stay went well. Minor hiccup with housekeeping - booked for six but only had four towels and no sheets for pullout bed. Owner brought in more next day. Quiet aside from the main road - expected for tourist area. Mini golf was closed - under maintenance. Cabin has mouse trap and mouse droppings in water heater closet - none visited us though. One AC unit in main living area. We were surprised that it was enough for the whole house. Goose poop covers the yard by the creek - expected - bring old shoes. Not sure why office is only open 9-3. Tourist area. No one is at cabins during that time. Would be better to have split hours - like 7-9am and an on call time during evening. Just my opinion.
Overall, as expected and ok for $$ we paid.
Nice place, very clean, very family oriented. We felt it was definitely centrally located for all that we wanted to do & see. Would absolutely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay! The unit was very clean and welcoming. The fireplace was a nice touch. The kitchen was furnished with utensils, dishes, pots and pans to satisfy our needs. We would have loved to use the outside grill but we stayed busy sightseeing. Location was a plus as it is central to most of the sites we visited. Thank you!
It was a perfect place to rest at the end of our busy days! I’d bring some sort of mattress for the loft, as the cushions were pretty flat. Super clean and the family fun zone was a great place for the kids to play.
