A Jersey Shore Vacation Getatway

The Overlook Cottage, a waterfront retreat with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and New York City skyline. Available year round, our waterfront cottage come fully furnished. Our cozy cottage can accommodate up to four comfortably. The Overlook cottage is no more than ten feet from the water with picturesque views from each patio. Your stay is guaranteed to be a tranquil excursion. The Cottage is less than an hour from New York City by boat, car or public transportation.

The Riverfront Cottages pamper you with a feel of an Island Getaway. Our 60’ dock offers the best striped bass fishing around. Come by boat and we have slips availabe to accomodate you. Just steps away, rent a boat, or take a ride on a charter vessel, party boat, or classic wooden boat excursion. Located within walking distance to Gateway National Recreation Area at Sandy Hook, a 7-mile long peninsula with over 1,600 acres of pristine beach and a spectacular holly forest where over 300 species of migratory shorebirds can be spotted. Spend the day sunbathing and swimming on the wide beaches or enjoy premier surf fishing. Horseshoe Cove on the bay side of Sandy Hook offers plenty of spots to anchor your boat and ideal conditions for kayaking, parasailing, windsurfing and Jet Skiing. The Riverfront Cottages are located under the national landmark, Historic Twin Light Lighthouse, Hartshorne Woods, Henry Hudson Bike Trail and many Zagat rated waterfront restaurants. Park your car or boat on our facility as all area attractions are walking distance and many a few steps away.

This was our 3rd stay at the property, first stay in this specific unit. The family and everyone around the property are all very friendly. The unit has beautiful water views from the large deck on either side. So close to all the best of Highlands. The unit could use updated furniture. Especially the outdoor furniture since the outdoor space is likely where you’ll be spending your time. But anywhere on this property is the place to stay in Highlands!

Best view in town

We've stayed here before and simply love the location. Our retriever/pit mix enjoyed both porches as we did too. Had the whole local family come over for a Sunday old fashioned dinner. We'll be back.

Highland getaway

Great location on the water and tons of great options to eat around the corner, and sea streak station into the city in close proximity. Communication and check in were a breeze, and a check in suprised of soda bread and homemade butter were on the counter for st Pattie’s day.

Highly recommend visting this gem. It was a great location and the back deck was so peaceful in the morning overlooking the water. The listing was exactly as described and was very clean. We would stay again.

Clean apartment with nice location

A stress-free stay. We were kindly greeted when we arrived and shown where we could park and where the keys to the unit were. It is on the second floor and stairs are a little steep. Very clean unit with two patios with a nice view. Overall would recommend!

Wonderful Stay in the Highlands

Really enjoyed our stay in the Highlands. There were beautiful views along with comfortable outside seating on two different decks. Everything you needed for your stay, including a Keurig coffee maker. The interior was very well maintained. The couch and beds were very comfortable along with soft pillows. There are several restaurants in walking distance. Our golden doodle enjoyed catching the breeze on the deck. I highly recommend this rental.

Perfect Spot for Beach Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is perfect - close to so many restaurants in Highlands, Atlantic Highlands, and nearby Rumson and Fair Haven. The cottage was clean and well kept, we had plenty of space, and incredible views right on the water! We will absolutely be back!

Waterfront Views

The view from the balcony overlooking the water was beautiful! The location is less than 10 mins away from local restaurants & bars. Space was clean and exactly what we needed while we attended a wedding over the weekend.
