"Casa Moctezuma is like a private oasis in the middle of the noise of Mexico City's oldest and most cultured neighborhood: Coyoacan. The service at the boutique hotel is impeccable and the daily cooked to order breakfasts make going out in the afternoon a breeze. It is two blocks from the eastern edge of the main plaza and has a historic, quaint feel. The area is safe and clean, relative to being a mere 10 minute walk from the Frida Kahlo museum. This was our family's second stay at the hacienda...

"We are so impressed with our stay at Mansion Papilio! We arrived about an hour before check in and weren’t able to check in right away, however, we were immediately greeted by the most courteous staff and had assistance with our bags. Additionally, while we waited for our room we were brought glasses of complimentary wine and offered to order an amazing meal while we waited. The garden just outside the front of the mansion is where we were able to eat and it was such a pleasant experience. The staff was so attentive the whole way through making sure to check on us, bring us more wine or whatever we needed until our check in at 3PM! When we arrived in the Mansion to Check In, the appearance and aroma inside was spectacular. It was finely decorated for the holidays on top of having beautiful decor already! It was surprisingly very clean (sometimes hard to find with older style buildings). The room was spotless, everything was neat, clean, and felt fresh! In our bathroom, there was a massive shower and Jacuzzi tub and we had no issues with hot water at all, which I was a little skeptical at first because it is also hard to find scorching hot water in older style homes like this. During our stay we also were able to do the S’Mores and Fireplace experience in our room which was very easy to request at night time with the overnight staff! The staff was very courteous, helpful, and pleasant; not overbearing which I really enjoyed. It is a perfect 5 min walking distance from city! "
