Our Hiawatha Stay May 2025

We absolutely loved this adorable home! It was the perfect little get away and place to stay with our children. We loved how it was set up to be kiddo friendly yet kept it's retro charm. We loved and used the side yard, appreciated how cleanly everything was, and how accommodating the space was for adults and children. You can tell the owners love this little slice of family friendly heaven. Highly recommend this little spot the next time you're visiting Iowa!

Pretty as a picture -- all of them!

This place is as nice as the pictures make it look. The location makes it easy to get anywhere in the area, too. I made friends pick me up, just so they could come in and see how nice it is! I'll be staying here again, unless it gets so popular I can't find open dates.

The magic of the 70’s

We were welcomed with a beautiful bouquet of flowers a basket of treats and yummy cookies! The home is well kept, very cozy and comfortable with everything needed for an extended stay. The location is great. Lots of shopping close by. The neighborhood is quaint and well manicured. We had a great visit!

Cozy home, like staying at Grandma’s house :)

Absolutely loved the home, everything was exactly as shown online…every last detail was thought of. Such a cozy home, it felt like staying at grandma’s house. Very clean and well thought out. We enjoyed having the extra space while in town for a baseball tournament, easy access to all of the fields we were at throughout the weekend. We will definitely be back for future baseball tournament weekends!

The house looks fantastic. Super great mid century classic Midwestern house stuff.It's comfortable. Good beds, nice living room and kitchen. All bedrooms including the kids room are great sizes.The backyard is fantastic. Everything you need for a nice night with a little fire or a grill out. It has lights and it's super nice to hang out in at night.The hosts are the absolute nicest, there is a record player.Every time I've ever stayed in a short term rental, I've been at least a little bit disappointed, except this one. This is the place you need to stay!

Great Stay (Family Friendly!)

Had an awesome time spending the weekend here. Tim was very responsive when we had an issue checking in and came right over to help. The place is freshly remodeled (place was bought in May 2023 and flipped). Tim thought of everything here! The kitchen is well stocked with 3 types of coffee makers, tea pot, plus usual wares. They also have a nutribullet, crockpot & high chair (for those with kiddos!). Bathroom was lovely, with plenty of towels, TP, plus a small thing of women’s toiletries in case of emergency. Also a flat iron & blow dryer incase you forget yours! We got the best sleep we ever had here! We made sure to snap a picture of the bed so we can buy one when we’re in the market for a new bed. Comfortable sheets/bedding/pillows. There’s a third “bedroom” with a pack-n-play and some kids toys and an office space. Tons of fun books to look through, and a basement with foosball and a game table. Backyard was lovely for our dog! Fenced in & they have a garbage can, dog bags, and a scooper for use. An amazing fire pit (so sad we couldn’t use it, as it was only 20 degrees!) If we’re ever back in town we’ll definitely stay here again. Great access to food, safe and quiet neighborhood, and right off of rt380.

This house is so cute! The owners have really done a great job with the remodel and utilizing all the space. Our pups loved the fenced in yard. The neighborhood is quiet and close to lots of shopping and restaurants.
