"Very nice. Only drawback is that they don't do breakfast (there is a good kitchen with everything you need if you have supplies). There is a coffee machine and there's a bakery just up the street that was open even on Sunday morning, so it isn't a disaster if you don't come equipped."

"A lovely, well-equipped house in a stunning location with its own fabulous garden. Brilliant for our family group of 10. Lots to do locally. The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. Highly recommended."

"The owner was very good at communicating, although I only gave a 3 for accuracy of the listing because it stated there was a washing machine but one was not available. We were on a 3 week vacation so we were hoping to do some washing. However the kitchen was very well set up with an abundance of coffee and tea. The bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. I would recommend this property."

"The view is spectacular!! Our kids thought the place was amazing and we also enjoyed it. Owner was very quick to answer any questions we had. It's a little tricky to get to; but that was likely due to us not being from Germany/the area/understanding how the roads work. Once we understood how to get to it, it was a breeze to come and go. "This property is not convenient to where all the action is in this town and is a sketchy part of town off the beaten track. There is NO Air Conditioning at this property, just a fan in the room, if you are on the first floor and open the window, anyone walking past can see straight into your room. There was a lot of guests 'hanging around' in the car park late on Friday night and lots of doors slamming until at least midnight. The room we had was tiny, no coffee maker or hair dryer in the room. Felt like a prison. There are many other choices closer to the adorable villages, we only stayed here as it was a last minute choice and all that was available. "
