Excellent Stay!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this charming, historic cabin. The property is beautiful, and we spent a lot of time just walking it, soaking in the lush foliage and birdwatching. Cabin was well-stocked and comfortable. Owner was very responsive to any questions and took the time to answer each one thoroughly and graciously.

Quaint and rustic

The cabin was very cute. We enjoyed the historical touches in it and had everything we needed for a long weekend. The stairs were very steep and narrow, but other than that, the cabin was in a wooded beautiful lot and it was very peaceful. Not far from town once you got onto the main road. Definitely would stay here again!

Gorgeous property!

We had an amazing time at this cabin! Every amenity was exactly as described, and the bed was criminally comfortable. The only downside was the extremely steep stairs to the bed loft, but it honestly wasn't a big deal at all. The kitchen was fantastically well appointed - this is our new vacation spot!

Nice little cabin for a couple on a short vacation. Wouldn't recommend if your older as the stairs to the bedrooms are steep. Location is quiet, yard is nicely screened with hedges for privacy.

Stone wood Cabin

In short, I wanted to move in and stay forever! The cabin was beautiful and well equipped for a longer stay. We loved how quiet and peaceful the property is and took advantage every day by spending a lot of time on the porch. The hot tub was great, too. It was just a perfect two weeks!

Quick getaway

The property was easily accessible with parking clearly marked. Very welcoming! Very nice and clean. Our only issue was the low clearance of the ceiling upstairs as my bf is 6’4”, but we made it work and really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful cabin in the woods!

Had the best stay at Kirk’s cabin! Was exactly like the pictures. True oasis in the forest. Close to Hendersonville and easy drive to Asheville. A lot of beautiful nature around that is easy to get to. Definitely listen when they say put chlorine in after each use for hot tub because it got cloudy after first use! Other than that, great stay and would recommend

Quaint and Comfortable cabin!

Property is as advertised. Comfortable beds, one in the loft and the other in the lower level. Comes equipped with everything necessary for making meals including a grill. The decor and the fireplace (too warm to use) bring the history alive in the cabin. Just beautiful even with the steep steps!

Cozy cabin

My wife and I loved our stay at Kirk’s cabin. Despite the fact that Hendersonville is a very short drive away, the cabin is tucked away and feels secluded and peaceful. It had everything we needed for a comfy stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting on the front porch overlooking the beautiful wooded property. It might not be an ideal spot for older folks who are unable to navigate the steep stairs up to the sleeping loft or down to the private lower level bedroom, but for anybody else it’s a great place. We would definitely visit again.

Unique and cozy cabin

We stayed at the cabin to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed ourselves. The cabin is incredibly clean and tidy with interesting antiques and decorations. It is located on a hill with a pretty view of woods. It is a totally private location and we enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and sitting on the front porch. As others have mentioned, the stairs to the loft bedroom and down to the lower bedroom are steep so I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you aren’t good on steep steps. This cabin is a lovely place located about 15 minutes from downtown Hendersonville.

Girl trip

We loved our weekend at the stonewood cabin. Private location within 30 minutes of Asheville, chimney rock and green river adventures in Saluda. Cabin was cozy, unique and very clean. Kitchen was well equipped. No need to bring any spices! Hot tub was easy to use and a lot bigger than expected. Downstairs bedroom has bathroom, so perfect for someone who wouldn’t be able to handle the steep steps in the middle of the night. Beds were super comfortable! Definitely want to come back in the fall!

Beautiful cabin for 1st anniversary celebration

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful cabin to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. It was so quaint and peaceful. I highly recommend staying here to anyone (unless you have bad balance, as the steps going down to the basement and up to the loft are very steep). The cabin is in very close proximity to multiple attractions. I recommend going to Shine for dinner, Celtic Creamery and/or Whit's Frozen Custard for ice cream, and Jeter Mountain Farm for apple picking/cider tasting/coffee/etc. Beware - it is EXTREMELY busy on Saturdays. We waited almost an hour just to park... but it was worth it! All in all, I highly recommend staying at this property.

Quiet and peaceful

The cabin was lovely and everything was clean and neat, it also had some very beautiful old furnishings and interesting items around to look at. Enjoyed the hot tub and wanted to have a fire in the stove, but the weather was way too warm to even consider it. I would recommend this property as long as you can navigate steep stairs to the bedrooms. Only complaint would be the A/C in the loft kept shutting off and lighting on the porch was tough as we tried to grill out after dark, burgers were rare, but we enjoyed them anyway. LOL
