Relaxing Getaway

We loved staying at the Eagles Rest for our annual friends getaway. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We loved the comfy couches and the huge fire pit. Very easy to get to downtown Hendersonville.

Great cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We loved the location and our kids really enjoyed fishing in the pond! Our only comment is that while the property is beautiful, it’s difficult to see the stream or explore much because of the abundance of foliage.

Great mountain escape

We loved the quiet, wooded location. The cabin has everything you would need. Love the beautiful rustic look and my kids loved playing on the property and skipping rocks in the pond.

Excellent Stay

This cabin was an amazing find and the owner was great to work with the entire time. It was very well-appointed, clean and comfortable and had lots of great info on things to do and see around town. It was in a very convenient location and easily accessible by a paved road. Also less than 15 minutes from an Ingles in case you forget anything and the WiFi was strong. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely rent again!

Perfect Getaway

We visited the area for a weekend getaway and trip to the Biltmore Estate. The lodge is absolutely perfect! It's far enough away from town that it's incredibly peaceful but close enough that it was no trouble getting to restaurants or the store. So many extras are included in this rental and it is very charming. We are already talking about a trip back!

Excellent stay!

We loved our week at the Eagle’s Rest! The quiet secluded location was great. Our 3-year-old loved playing around the yard and the pond, and climbing on the rocks. In the evenings we enjoyed the fire pit, and the hot tub after the kids went to bed. Everything was clean, and the host provided a lot of nice little things. The kitchen was well stocked, laundry detergent, firewood and a lighter, and toys/games/puzzles for entertainment, even some fishing rods for the pond. We actually thought it was bigger than it looked in the pictures, which was a pleasant surprise.

Great getaway spot for families!

Our family stayed at this cabin for a couple of days during spring break week. We had an amazing time at the cabin. There were many things for our kids to do, games, puzzles and toys. they loved the fire pit and pond out front, and the porch was perfect for sitting and enjoying. The cabin was very clean and had many thoughtful touches. We loved the hot tub at night. One of the best surprises was how well appointed the kitchen was. We cooked most of our meals and had everything we needed! We will be back again in the fall!

The house was a beautiful location. It was also well equipped for cooking. The tub upstairs is raised about 2 feet. It was a little challenging getting out with wet feet. The downstairs shower had very easy entry! Great addition!

Eagles Nest

The property was beautiful and the house had that Mountian cabin feel. There were some small maintenance issues like a sticking front door and an overwhelming musty smell when running the downstairs AC, which made us keep it off the entire time we were there. We didn’t watch the TV at all but the WiFi seemed to work fine. Other than that everything worked well and we enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal for what we were looking for.

Fun stay at Eagle's Rest!

Eagle's Rest was a cozy old cabin to stay in that made for a wonderful stay. We especially enjoyed fishing in the pond out front and soaking in the hot tub. The one thing that I wish was stated more clearly in the description is that the AC in the cabin is through window-units. We ended up only needing use the AC once during our stay since the temperature stayed cool enough in the mountains that it was comfortable with the fans on inside. We also had the impression that the creek was a bit closer to the cabin; we could hear it when we were outside by the pond, but we couldn't see it since it was down a hill and there were no trails to it. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this cabin for a private getaway!

Girls reunion trip

We had a great time and loved the location. The appliances are needing to be fixed in the kitchen. The dishwasher was really unstable. The glass rack kept falling off and the whole unit looked like it was going to fall out. The refrigerator needs tlc too. The jacuzzi was great. We wanted to watch a scary movie and the remotes didn’t have batteries. I bought some. Minor issues because the property is really beautiful and we really had an awesome time.

Nice place in need of maintenance

A nice cabin in the woods has a pond full of easily caught fish, plenty of room, and everything you need except internet and tv, Verizon would barely work there. The place is in need of some TLC, most doors barely work, and smoke detectors are not up to code, It was not clean enough to warrant a cleaning fee, especially with the dead rodent smell throughout, we had to air it out all day, luckily it wasn't very hot out. It was 20 minutes from anything, so out there a bit, secluded, all in all, it wasn't a bad stay.

Mountain time

The house is in a beautiful setting with a pond, big firepit, hot tub. Lots of wood provided. The rooms were nicely decorated, kitchen well equipped. The smaller queen room needs a new mattress (2 people sleeping in it can't help but roll to the center). The house had been surface cleaned but it needs a THOROUGH cleaning (cobwebs, baseboards, window sills, air conditioners). I realize it's a house in the woods but it needs some attention. The upstairs bathroom is in sad shape. The handrail going upstairs isn't securely anchored to the wall. Downstairs bath and a half were fine. Location was fine, great driveway, plenty of parking.
