"We (me and my 2 sons) really enjoyed our 3-night stay at this hotel. The staff are all very helpful despite me not having more than a few words of German. They were all very polite and seemed happy to be working there which gave the place a really nice atmosphere. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our room was trackside with a balcony giving a full view of the start / finish straight of the Grand Prix track plus a few of the early corners of the Nordschleife. The track action starts early,(8am) on all 3 mornings we were there (late May 2026) which we all loved as petrolheads but if having a lie-in is your thing I'd ask for a room on the front of the hotel as the cars and bikes were loud. The choice at breakfast was plentiful and all very fresh - if your room rate doesn't include it I would definitely add it 100%. We also ate at the restaurant one evening. We ordered the steak, Dorint burger and the Adenauer pan (pork tenderloin with sauteed potatoes, green beans and subtle pepper sauce in case you're wondering). All delicious and good value for money. We will definitely book to stay again on our next trip to the Ring."

"Die kleine Burg ist ein charmantes Ambiente, liebevoll eingerichtet. Vor allem für Kinder ab 3 Jahren gibt es in verwinkelten Ecken viel zu entdecken.Das Haus ist hundefreundlich. Allerdings: aufgepasst. Große Menschen können sich leicht den Kopf stoßen, da die Türhöhen niedrig sind.Die Gastgeberin ist freundlich und gut erreichbar gewesen.Es gibt ausgewiesene Wanderwege, die fußläufig erreichbar sind. Für Einkäufe ist ein Auto ratsam. Ebenso, wenn man Besonderheiten der Umgebung entdecken möchte: die Bruder Klaus Kapelle in Mechernich, auch das dortige Freiluftmuseum, oder einen Wildtierpark."
