"I expected a lot more for the price. There was a blood stained wash cloth hanging on the shower rod in my bathroom and used gloves on the elevator floor for at least 24 hrs. I realized this the next morning so I unwittingly slept very well, what can I say? The bed was comfortable."

"Chose this hotel because it had cheaper rates than others of similar class in the area. The hotel is in pretty good shape except the fitness room is closed (this was listed at the time of booking) and the pool closes at 8, which makes it difficult to use if you have day plans.They have a pool lift chair but it was broken (as is usually the case in these types of motels) so we couldn’t use the pool anyway, but it did not look clean and had a green tinge to it. The room seemed pretty clean, except the floor in front of the mini fridge was sticky and there was something spilled inside the fridge that wasn’t cleaned. We stayed three nights and never had any housekeeping. I’m used to most motels not having housekeeping since Covid, but there was a sign in the bathroom that said they would change out towels and sheets daily unless we wanted to be “environmentally friendly” and should let the front desk know we did not want this service, so I thought we would have daily housekeeping. We didn’t bring our dog but the hotel is dog friendly which may be the reason for the extremely strong odor of cleaning product in the hallways. As I heard one person say: it’s not a bad smell, just strong. I read in one review/description that there was a bar; there is not. I also read in several reviews that the TV is difficult to use: true. Instructions in the rooms would be helpful. We never made it to breakfast so I can’t comment on that. Would probably stay there again especially if bringing dog."

"Caveat: This review pertains solely to my experience with hotel management. I made mistakes in booking my room and have to admit to those to be fair. Circumstances: I had to make a last minute business trip to Birmingham and tried to make a reservation for my stay on the drive. When I called to learn their late check in procedure, I was informed I didn't have a room booked. First mistake: I mistakenly had booked for the following Wednesday instead of that night. The hotel said they had no rooms left for that night. Second mistake: I didn't buy insurance because I was already on my way to the city and hotel. I called Expedia in hopes the hotel would cut me some slack. After an extended conversation between Expedia and the hotel the good news was they miraculously found an available room. The bad news was they wanted over $180 for an overnight stay vs the $73 I had booked the room for. Expedia generously offered me a $50 coupon to reduce the pain and promised they would continue to attempt to get me a refund for the stay I wouldn't be using regardless of where I booked my stay. I elected to book a room at a nearby hotel instead because I didn't consider $180 anywhere near a fair price for this property. I put myself in a bad position with my mistakes, but I feel the hotel management was out to exploit my situation. If you book here, get the insurance."

"Great check-in. The gentleman was very kind. It was very quiet and parking was plentiful. In the morning, even though I was leaving before breakfast was being served, I was able to grab a piece of fruit in a cup of coffee for the road. The staff setting up the breakfast was very kind as well. Highly recommend. Thank you!"
