This property exceeded expectations! While it was a little closer to the main strip in Helen than I realized, it felt very secluded and quiet. We had a great meal in the restaurant and excellent spa treatments. The room was spacious and well-appointed. We enjoyed the fireplace. Mini bar was well stocked and very affordable. We will definitely come back!

We received very poor treatment since we arrived. Firstly, they did not honor the rate we paid through Expedia, claiming Expedia had incorrect rates. The bungalow had dirty carpets, and the hotel was understaffed from December 31st to January 3rd or 4th due to vacations. On December 31st, the hotel was only open for guests who had dinner reservations, whether they were hotel guests or not. We checked out, found no one at the hotel, and left the key in a fire alarm box. The overall food and service were bad, and they did not fulfill all the services advertised on their website.

Everything about the property is exceptional. My wife and I were most impressed with the restaurant Caledonia. We tried just about all items on the menu for dinner. It was excellent and the prices reasonable. The chef and the staff couldn't be more pleasant. Breakfast also delightful. Highly recommended!

First Time Pleasant Surprise
First trip to Helen, GA and this resort. It is a diamond. Away from the activity but not very far. Staff was the friendliest I’ve experienced in a while. Beautiful views and good food. Can’t go wrong if you stay here!

Noisy! Noisy Room! Sounded like elephants tramping above all night! Reported to no avail! Room smelled of dirty carpet, and everything had a bit of a stale look other than new wall paint. Paid well over $500.00! Golf club house had gutters falling off, and generally grubby looking. This place was terrific when we stayed there in 2017, but like a Super 8 now. One good point. Customer service was very nice.

Charming Resort
From arrival to check out, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We loved that it was a resort, but still felt so quaint and charming. We were truly able to relax. Also, the food was AMAZING! You truly don’t need to even leave the resort.

In my opinion, this property still has room for improvement before I could give it the current rating of 9.4 Superb. Upon arrival, we were told by a security guard at the gate that valet would meet us at the front door to park our car and take our bags. However, this did not happen. We found it difficult to locate the reception area for check-in and no one was available to assist us. This lack of assistance continued throughout our stay, as it was unclear how to access amenities such as the spa, pool, fitness center, and sky bar. While the bed was comfortable, the furnishings throughout the property did not seem upscale. Compared to other resorts with similar amenities, this establishment feels overpriced.

This hotel made our stay-cation/anniversary very special. 90 minutes from home but we felt like we had traveled somewhere exotic! And we've been to Helen plenty of times but this was Valhalla! Beautiful accommodations and a very comfortable bed. I would have enjoyed the flames a little higher in the fireplace for more ambiance—its pre-regulated for safety but it still was a nice touch. The people hands down among the nicest and most attentive hospitality staff. It's worth it if you want to experience a touch above.
