The only issue was there is carpet throughout the cottage which is not practical being right on the beach. Also when we got there it could have been cleaner, the deck had so much sand on it and all on the stairs that we tracked in as soon as we arrived."

"The house is large and has a lot of natural light. The side of the property has a river to put kayaks etc in, we loved that. The property is large, great fire pit. It is a shared beach and everyone was very friendly. We were there the 2nd and 3rd weeks of Aug, so not overly busy. The lake is so clean and the call of the Loons was so wonderful. We would stay there again"

"Our family had a wonderful week. The shallow water and sandy bottom were perfect for our 8 grandchildren, ages 2 to 13. They also loved the floats, kayaks and paddle board. We rented a pontoon boat for two days from nearby Lakefront Marina and tied up to the dock. The kitchen with everything supplied was amazing. We enjoyed the gas grill in the screen porch. We had some great meals sitting at the huge table inside, or on the large deck, with the amazing view. Sunsets were incredible. Sarah was very responsive to our text messages. Everyone was sad to leave. The time went by too fast."

"We had a great time! We will be back. We already booked the same week for next year. Leavitt Bay is just what we were looking for - small and reasonably quiet. The water was beautiful and the sandy bottom is great. However, the bay is shallow with only about 4ft of water out at the swim float. There are plenty of chairs provided for the fire pit that we also used on the beach. We brought our own kayaks, so we didn't use the boats provided. The house is rustic but the bathrooms seem updated. The house had a musty "camp" smell at first. But, once we aired out the house, it seemed fine. We had plenty of hot water for 6 showers in a row at the end of each day. There is however, only one (indoor) shower. There is an outdoor shower with hot water that we also used. There is a dyer, but no washing machine. With careful planning, it was not an issue. The wi-fi worked great. There is no TV on the property, but we bought a small smart TV which worked fine. There is one mini-split AC on the first floor and one in the upstairs bedroom. Both worked great to keep the house cool on hot days/nights."
