"Overall the stay was just what we needed. Only minor things that could be easily fixed by proprietors. The dome was luxurious. The wifi was lacking, which, had all the instructions for the dome not been youtube videos, we wouldn't have cared. Maybe have a booklet with all instructions available. The dome is surrounded by trees and gardens, it was lovely. Im curious why they wouldnt have a propane firepit instead of a circle of rocks to build a real fire. Propane generally insures a consistent flame, it is safer than an open fire and in ns, where we often have fire bans, it still allows guests to enjoy a cozy fire, roasted hot dogs or s'mores. The same goes for the hot tub. You can fill it with hot water and it does get pretty hot and stays hot but, you're without hot water in the dome for an hour. Back to the firepit, all there is for seating is a small bench made of logs, two people are definitely cuddling there, just so onendoesnt fall off. Its a luxury dome, spring for some Adirondack chairs or put the discount deck furniture there and purchase a nice lounge sofa with a chaise and an arm chair or 2 for the deck. I absolutely loved the 100 candles for our anniversary. A few more options would be ideal. Could you offer wine by the bottle? I ordered a 1 day meal for two. The lasagna was ok. And I loved the carrot cake, my husband did not. I understand you source the meals from a local chef, maybe providing visitors with even just two options. "

"Very good food we were late getting in kitchen was closed and the ladies opened the kitchen for us and cooked us something to eat very quaint Victorian style home. Beautiful views rooms were small but comfortable."

"Property was amazing, exactly as described! Host was super responsive and so helpful with any questions/concerns we had during our stay! Cabin was equipped perfectly for 2 people, and was very cozy and welcoming! If you're looking for an offgrid experience i would definitely recommend, I am 100% looking forward to booking again! "

"A big, beautiful, bright, and modern space. Well equipped and super comfortable with a view of the inlet and warm morning sun. We were visiting to surf, and any time we weren’t at the beach we didn’t feel like we wanted or needed to leave.We couldn’t use the hot tub due to the fire ban but it’s placed with that same great view and looked like it would be really good.It’s one of the pricier listings in the area so might be wasted if you’re touring around all day every day, but if your plans include lots of downtime at the rental it’s definitely worth it. "

"We had the absolute best stay here. The house is beautiful, thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed and more, exceptionally clean, and easy to live in. We loved having the ocean just steps away from the door and spent many hours exploring the shore. We were fortunate to be visited by porcupines in the early evenings, and spotted several seals in the ocean. We took two day trips into Halifax (about an hour’s drive) and also visited Clam Harbour Beach and Memory Lane Heritage Village which are closer to the house. We learned so much about the history of the area and were lucky to encounter super friendly and helpful folks along the way. The grocery store was close by so we stocked up and ate many meals in the very well equipped kitchen. Waking up to the sounds of surf and sea birds was lovely, and the sunsets weee spectacular. This vacation was superb and we will all carry happy memories of Blue Horizon forever. "

"Amazing location and setting for a quiet time on the Eastern Shore area (as show in listing photos). The main attraction for us was the private peninsula setting and classic cottage design with great views. Location is best for enjoying the cottage rather than taking sightseeing outings or dining (we did both but the drive times are longer). Would recommend to friends!"

"If you are looking for a little piece of Nova Scotia heaven, this is it! From the moment we walked through the door, every need was anticipated by the homeowner - we just needed to unpack and enjoy. The homeowner Scott dropped by to check on the hot tub and made sure that our stay was perfect. The view from the deck is stunning and fishing off the dock and paddling the kayaks provided hours of peaceful entertainment. At the end of the day we could relax in the covered hot tub. By far, this is the best vacation rental we have ever stayed at. We hadn’t even packed up to leave and had already booked our next stay. Can’t wait to return for our next picture perfect family vacation! "
