Nice, Secluded Cabin
We stayed three nights for MerleFest in this nicely equipped, secluded cabin. It’s located in the gated community of Bell Mountain and has a nice view from the deck. The cabin is equipped with all of the essentials including excellent internet. I gave an overall score of 3 Stars as a few fairly obvious touches were missing such as: No coat hangers in closets, no hooks to hang clothes in bathrooms, the beds are ok, but just barely.

I thank you for Interesting comments however, there are wooden hangers in the closets and as always guest move them from one closet to another. My cleaning crew verified they were still there. As far as you oblivious touches remember you were renting a Cabin not a home or hotel to live in. What happened to enjoying nature and the simple things.

Beautiful and relaxing getaway
Location and house were beautiful and so close for hiking at Stone Mountain with a peaceful waterfall. Definitely will be back to get away from the hustle & bustle.

My cleaning crew sent nine pictures with dirty dishes in the sink piled up, food left in the microwave and thrash left inside and outside to prove otherwise. As for the additional charge it was for human pee damages to the wooden floor in two different areas and extra chemicals that had to be purchased . This was a justified additional charge. I pray and hope you never never disrespect someone else’s property as you did mine.

Our stay here was very enjoyable. All was exactly as described in the listing. Very private and quiet. My family and I were very comfortable. The absolute only thing I could see that may need a bit of an upgrade is the grill on the deck. But that is definately not a deal breaker. If I have to opportunity to stay there again I for sure will. I recommend it to anyone that will be in that area to give it a go.

Very nice cabin. My husband and sister stayed with me at the beautiful, spacious cabin. Cleanliness and accuracy of listing is spot on. Very private! The only downside are the “loud” bed springs, as stated by other tenants. Linens and pillows we good though!

Our family get away
We loved the home, it is beautiful! You will not be disappointed. During our stay the only complaints we had was a few lighting fixtures needed new bulbs, and there were no chairs at the fire pit. Easy fixes! Over all we had an amazing time. Also, in the future this property could benefit from a new grill.

Very secluded. Enjoyed the sense of security from a gated community. Bring items to cook as here you truly get away from it all. Super quiet, relaxing, and a great way to enjoy a family vacation away from it all.

Very Relaxing and Peaceful
Loved the location. It was the only house on that road. Quiet and peaceful. Being a HVAC guy for 32 years one of the first things I look at after setting the thermostat are the air filters to see how dirty they are. These two looked like they have been in there for a year. Completely clogged. With the whole Covid thing going on I would suggest changing them with a cheap filter after each renter. Had to clean up a lot of stink bugs and other bugs the two days we were there. My wife is a clean freak so we always have to re-clean and sanitize everything when we go some where, especially with Covid right now. We lost water about 9:00 the first night we were there. Called the owner the next morning about it. He contacted a guy that lives nearby who looks after the place and he called a plumber who came out right after lunch. Luckily it was just a cracked fitting on top of the well head. Had it fixed in less than a half hour. Other than that it was a great relaxing valentines day weekend.

Beautiful, spotless, and comfortable
I was looking for a place to take the family for a little winter fun during a mild weekend snowstorm and this was a perfect pick. The cabin is roomy, warm, well equipped, and very clean. Everything was neat and in good working order. The gas fireplace was wonderful after a day in the snow. The outside was beautiful under a fresh blanket of snow. The cabin is private and the surrounding hills are very scenic. The kids were able to sled down the small hill in the yard behind the cabin, next to the fire pit overlooking the valley between the hills. They also had a blast hiking through the snow down a winding path leading from the side yard through the nearby wooded hills.

If you want to relax in the mountain this is it!
The place and the pictures does not show it all… as it is better. We really enjoyed the fantastic house, the peace and quiet from the place and the time we spent there as family. This is the mountain and not a 5 star resort in the beach, there will be dirt and bugs outside, but the house is great and you will enjoy it. From the sunrise to beautiful sunset, enjoying all the meals with family and friends, play some games or just enjoying the view.

Perfect location for a family retreat! Just far enough away for peace and quiet. And still close enough to plan outings to Blue Ridge Parkway vistas, state parks, Wilkesboro/Boone areas, and many other day trip/sightseeing opportunities. A very enjoyable and relaxing time.

Fall Mountain Getaway
This is the perfect place for serenity and seclusion. The house was clean. The kitchen had everything you needed. The living room furniture was up to date and it didn't feel like a bear cave. It is large enough for family or couples retreat. The game room was a bonus. Beautiful mountain view. It was close enough to town but far enough from people. My husband and I spent our day at Stone Mountain and our evening by the fireplace. Our stay was too short so we want to return one day soon.

Perfect Mountain Getaway
Fantastic property! If you’re looking for total peace and quiet, this is the spot. This is as close to a mountain getaway as you’re ever going to get. Beautiful views from the cabin and on the way up, and the place itself is amazing. Cabin was spotless, well maintained and had an incredibly easy check-in process. Had everything we needed, was spacious and much newer/ more modern than some of the rentals we’ve used in similar areas in the past. Pool table and game room downstairs were a great bonus. Our adults and kids (10-14) all absolutely loved this location. We were able to hike right from the cabin on a great trail off the land, plus just a short drive to Stone Mountain and the trails and falls there. Perfect location for exploring Boone and Blowing Rock for the day, but retreating back to nature and peace when you’re done. Owner communication was excellent- provided all the information we needed and was super responsive and incredibly gracious! We’ll definitely be making this our annual spot!

Nice home, convenient location to Stone Mountain!
The kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes and pans. We brought all our own food to cook so we really took advantage of the kitchen. Loved the big table in the kitchen! Great for playing games and family dinners. Cute newer home, no view of the mountains because of the trees(summertime). Wished the grass/weeds had been cut to access the fire pit easily. Over all nice home for the price! Enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Beware of beds!
The beds in this home are unacceptable. They made so much noise you were afraid to move because it could wake up someone in the next room. Before renting this home make sure they have replaced the beds. They blamed it on temperature change but believe me it was the quality of the beds. The headboard on our bed was so loose we jammed a pillow between it and the wall to reduce the noise. Also it was never shown anywhere in the description of this home how far out away from everything it is. Nor was it explained that you had to go over unpaid gravel roads to reach the home. This was told to us after we paid. That was so misrepresented. It is such a shame because it is a beautiful cabin. I would not rent again due to location but mainly because of the quality of the beds.

They were provided directions and instructions and there are two unpaved areas are not relative to the the Cabin. There was no misrepresentation as everything was explained. If you are booking the experience in the mountains expect the rustic life. Additionally all the information was provided how far all distances were from stores.

Roomy cottage away from the Boone bustle, but close to great hikes, Stone Mountain and other sights. Very quiet and great views. The pool table was a savior on a rainy day. The beds are noisy for sure, as other reviewers mentioned.

The cabin was clean and very secluded. My family really enjoyed the stay. The only negative is it was stink bug season and the cabin had a bunch in it when we arrived. After spending the first day exterminating we rarely saw anymore. Regardless we still plan to return, loved the cabin overall.

The place was not as clean as it should have been. There were bugs everywhere in the house. Dead bugs were in the shower. We even found bugs in our bed. Sticky floors around the dining room table and downstairs. The place was beautiful and the views were amazing. We enjoyed ourselves. I just thought the place could have been a little cleaner when we checked in.

This is Stink bug season which is known for this area. Its hard to control them. Best solution is to keep windows and doors closed. I know the cleaning crew cleaned the cabin prior to your arrival. I have addressed your concerns with my cleaning crew.

We enjoyed our 4 days / 3 nights here. The cabin is remote. The only other homes that were visible from it were ones way down the mountain, a considerable distance away. Dark skies at the top of the mountain, great for stargazing. We thought the furniture was comfortable. All the basics were there. It isn't super-fancy, but it is very nice. We enjoyed playing pool downstairs. We couldn't get the gas logs to work, but it might have been us, and we didn't try particularly hard. The only suggestion we have is to have better chairs for sitting out on the porch. It might be a good idea to bring your own camping / soccer-parent chairs for outside. We thought it was great. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a very nice rental and the owner was very accommodating. Good directions and instructions. The only suggestion would be to upgrade the mattresses. All very very noisy and we did not get good sleep.

We had a wonderful time they had everything it’s a wonderful place having a bathroom on every floor is great especially when your playing pool and you don’t want to go all the way up. It’s just a wonderful cabin. Except for the noise beds but they were comfortable enough. The temperature was amazing was in the 60’s several nights. Thanks for a wonderful stay. 😊💕💕

We loved the place. My wife and I did not see or hear one car, person, horn...….nothing for 5 days. Very peaceful. This is still a fairly new place and in progress but everything you need is there and top notch. We look forward to returning for the cooler weather.

Thanksgiving In The Mountains
My family (me, my husband, 2 children-18 and 23, mother in-law, father in-law) spent 4 nights in this cabin over Thanksgiving 2019. The cabin provided ample space for us to spread out a little. We cooked a full Thanksgiving meal and the kitchen was well equipped to accomplish the task. The location was secluded even though it is in a gated community. The cabins are nicely placed so everyone has their own space. The views of the mountains was breathtaking, especially at sunrise. The pool table downstairs offered quite a bit of laughter and competition. Laundry facilities were more than sufficient. As far as the location of the cabin, it is about an hours drive to Boone and West Jefferson which allowed us time to site see along the way. The owner of the property was very responsive to any and all questions asked. The reason for the 4 star rating is solely because of the poor quality of the beds in each room. The main level bed was very low and difficult for my in-laws to get and out of (this room was the best for them because of the stairs involved for the other bedrooms). The box springs on all beds were extremely noisy, to the point that my husband and I moved the top mattress to the floor and slept there. My in-laws did not have that option as they already had difficulty with the height of their bed. My son chose to sleep on the couch downstairs. We would definitely stay here again if the bed issues are taken care of.

Lovely cabin near Stone Mountain
This cabin is exactly as pictured in the listing--super clean and snug/well insulated. The location is quite isolated, so best to go here expecting to get away (and stay away) from it all! The owner provided good directions, so we didn't have trouble finding it, even in the dark. The living room furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. My husband discovered a path leading down the hill from the back of the cabin that gave him access to the Flat Rock Ridge trailhead. 4 stars instead of 5 because the home is a little sparse on furnishings, making it not quite as cozy as it should be. It'd be nice to have a bedside lamp for each person, for example, and lamps and throw blankets by the sofas and futon. The beds seem new but are super squeaky for some reason (the covers on the box springs maybe? whatever it was, it was maddening for the bed to be so loud every time you turned over). It'd also be helpful to have a notebook in the house with information about the closest stores and restaurants, and how to operate/troubleshoot the gas fireplace (it wasn't intuitive).

As far as furnishings it is rustic & simplistic as best with warmth. There were directions & instructions provided with a lot great detail especially how to operate the gas fireplace with detail instructions and who to call if not able to put it into operation. Late hour emails are not the way to communicate when phone numbers are provided for assistance. This is mentioned because most forget to read the instructions and directions once there which are extremely helpful.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting
This is a really nice, well-equipped modern cabin in a very private setting with a great view of Stone Mountain State Park (check out the waterfall at the park). It is remote by NC standards, which is great if you want a quiet, peaceful getaway. Our only complaint is that the master bed wasn't as comfortable as one might expect from an otherwise top notch cabin. But loved it overall, and highly recommend it.

3 adults 6 kids Christmas Vacation 2017. The cabin was great,super clean all new appliances. First day we had a few questions and the owner was available immediately. We even requested to stay longer but sadly cabin was not available. My family enjoyed the view and and the kids in game room was a plus. Definitely going back!

Great cabin near Stone Mountain, NC!
We stayed here over Thanksgiving. It's new and clean, and has a great view of the NC mountains! The Owner is very responsive, and answered all questions we had before and during the stay. Bedrooms and bathrooms are nice sizes, and the pool table is a great amenity. Water pressure is good and the oversized towels were a plus. Heat pump worked well, and the place was nice and cozy over the holiday weekend.

Remote in a good way!
