"We had a great time! The house was very comfortable and had all of the supplies that we needed. The porch was so nice and the hot tub was awesome! This area is within 30 mins of a lot different places: Linville Falls, blowing rock, banner elk, and Boone."

"Really good location. Close to Sugar Mountain and a short drive to Banner elk. Great communication with the host! We had a little trouble with the door code getting in, but it was quickly resolved. Had everything we needed for our three nights stay. It was such a nice bonus having the air conditioning in the rooms for sleeping at night and not having to sleep with the sliding glass doors open."

"The lodge property is old time rustic, which was what we were looking for in the mountains. We made good use of the kitchenette in our room. Sauna, large hot tub and large indoor pool were very clean and relaxing. We will visit again and bring our grandsons next time. Authentic vintage North Carolina lodge."

"Nice condo in the mountains. It's off the road, and like most places up there, quiet. Roads are paved all the way to the parking lot, although a few bumps and holes along the way, but nothing that would keep you from making it. This unit is on the far left, and has 2 sets of steps to travel to reach the front door. My parents joined me on the trip (late 60's and early 70',s) and they didn't have any issues with the steps. Unit was clean and offered what was needed. A combination of portable and window units in the bedrooms kept things cool, even with the rare 90's outside."

"Location to Grandfather Mountain was great. A/C was great. Kitchen does not have some basic utensils and is not fully supplied (as advertised) - fortunately there is a Food Lion nearby where we bought what should have been supplied. Sofa and chairs did not feel clean and we put a sheet over the sofa. Beds and bed linens were good and clean. But, great place to have a family get-together to attend the nearby Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain."

"My best friend and I had a really nice girls trip here! We really enjoyed the outdoor space and looking out at the beautiful mountains. There was plenty of room for us and the unit had everything we needed. We would stay again!"
