Our stay at the Vandiver was wonderful! The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal for shopping and dining. All of the staff were friendly - we really enjoyed talking to Michelle in the evening. Breakfast was delicious and there were lots of options from which to choose. The owners and staff at the Vandiver were very very friendly and accommodating. The Inn is beautiful with a picturesque front porch and an amazing backyard for events that includes 2 amazing gas firepits. The breakfasts were made to order and our room ( O' Neil) was gorgeous with a working fieplace and private bath. Located in historic area and close to shopping, sightseeing, and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Clean old-fashioned, from the room, the greeting hour, bed comfort and quiet. Included breakfast superb. Second-floor access tricky if you’re in your 80s. All greeters, wait staff, hosts also superb. Finally, it’s just a 1/2 mile from a four-star ($$) restaurant…guess what? Superb.
