So peaceful ☺️
Overall our stay was amazing! It was so peaceful and relaxing. Sure the tub drained slow and the wifi kinda sucked but we made the best of it. There's direct TV so we had something to watch and Wi-Fi calling did work. It's a nice place and we definitely want to come back with family.

Little Getaway
A great place for a little getaway if you need a small vacation to relax for a few days. The cabin was clean and comfy. The only complaint i have is the cabin needed a little loving care. I would go back for a small stay Loved the downstairs porch erea was nice to sit and relax out there.

Great Visit.....
Four night visit. Everything from start to finish went well. Owner very accommodating, Fast and easy to contact and quick to respond. Provided the Entry Code in a timely manner. Cabin was very enjoyable, clean, and comfortable. Nice up to date appliances. Wife loved the kitchen and found it well supplied. We really enjoyed the upper level porch for sitting and enjoying the Creek view. The ground level open area (no walls) is the full size of the cabin and nicely furnished with plenty of seating, a bar, overhead TV, huge overhead fans, and great view of the Creek. Always in the shade and a huge place to entertain or just sit and enjoy. This cabin is on the end of the driveway and the whole area was very quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable beds. Plenty of TVs and overall decent internet and phone reception. The Creek is always moving and about as close to the Cabin as it could be. Just a very relaxing trip. We are retired and do two or three of these trips a year. This one will be on our short list for a return visit. Purvis is just a 15-minute ride up the road and has about anything you might need. Highly recommend. Five Stars.

Black creek retreat
This location was perfect for our family. We rented the cabin nextdoor also. House was as described. Easy acess to river. Wifi operative. Quiet. Great place to get away from it all and spend time in nature. Beds comfortable. Air conditioning operative. Great space downstairs for fellowship. Comfortable furniture. Plenty of towels, etc. Communication with property owner flawless. We would definitely stay again.

Too many issues to be enjoyable
We fully enjoy a rustic getaway, but we had too many issues with this booking to fully enjoy it. The internet passwords, satellite dish connections, and DVD player didn't work. Luckily we brought enough board games to keep us occupied when we weren't in the creek. This "completely remodeled cabin" has a lot of soft spots in the floor, There is one right in front of the stove/oven, which is not connected to the wall so it rocks back and forth when you open the oven door. There is another soft spot in front of the bathroom sink. The soap container in the bathroom was just full of water. The shower head had been taken off for some reason and we had to reattach it ourselves. The handle to turn on the shower feels like it's going to rip out of the wall when you try to turn it on and off. Cooking was also an issue. We arrived to no trash bags, no kitchen towels or paper towels, a total of 3 cups besides coffee cups, no can opener, no ziplocks, no aluminum foil, no large pots, no baking sheet...the basics you would expect. We would have brought our own had we known. We had to scrounge two ripped trash bags that we found outside. There are storage containers outside for couch cushions and such. One is full of old trash and roaches. We also had 4 roaches inside. The bath towels are old and one of ours had a hole in it. We never received the door code before we left and our e-mail to the host was not answered until 2 hours after our check-in. The lawn man had to let us in.

Love/hate (a little)
The location and property were great! The ad description should warn renters to bring towels kitchen supplies etc… the wi-fi didn’t work (not a huge deal for me). The property manager is bad about communication, other wise, I had a relaxing time which was the point.

Not enough bath towels for 8 guests. No kitchen towels. A few small things needed fixing or attention. But, the location is great and we don’t expect things to be like home so we still had a great time.

Family Trip
I am not one to write reviews, but I always read them and base my judgement on them. So we rented this cabin for a family trip. The pictures looked amazing and we thought this would be the perfect place to maybe dip our toes in the creek. First issue we had was using google maps. It took us to the wrong place. Make sure you use maps. It will get you to the correct location. When we finally arrived I still didn't get my check in policy. We had no code to the door. Thankfully I was able to text the host and he sent me the code. We finally was able to get in and view the inside. The pictures make this place look huge. It's actually not inside. We had no paper towels, no trash bags, the toilet seat was dirty, and the towels looked like mechanics used them. I can't say this is the owner's fault, possibly the cleaning person. Which the cleaning person showed up to get comforters out of the washer and dryer after we arrived and we told him about no paper towels and trash bags, but he didn't do anything about it. If you looking to get internet or service, this is not the place. The service is very spotty. In the cabin we had no service. Downstairs we could get one bar on our phones. The pictures of the creek looked like we would have great access to it. Nope, not the case. They have tree trunks all along the front of the camp with a decent drop off. The pictures were probably taken many years ago when you could get in. The flies are absolutely horrible!!They were everywhere.

Great cabin on creek getaway!
Beautifully decorated. Plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out.The cabin was right on a large creek which was perfect for swimming and relaxing in. Great views from the upper deck and plenty of entertaining space on the bottom deck. Wi-fi & Dish TV did not work the whole time we were there, always said we were connected but no internet. Bath towels were small and scratchy, no washrags or kitchen towels.
