Old Town

Three nights in a very unique & quirky B&B. I took a lot of photos of the entire house as the owner has filled it with many antiquities of great variety; every time you look again you see something different. A nice equally custom decorated courtyard is off the kitchen for breakfast. The cook served up the most amazing curry chicken & roti although the owner took the credit. Personally I don’t care who cooked it as it was the most delicious breakfast I had in three months traveling through Vietnam & Thailand. The room was equally custom decorated and unique. It was a comfortable sleep with little or no noise when it was time to sleep. My only negative feedback is communication could have been better when I checked in. There were several issues that weren’t obvious and I wasn’t happy I had to chase the owner for answers. Communication is a common courtesy and a big part of customer service. I thought it odd and inconsiderate I wasn’t offered milk & sugar with my coffee. Once again common courtesy to ask your guests. The room needed a thorough cleaning; it was nowhere near satisfactory for guests. This was stay number 20 of my three months travel; Number 1 breakfast. Top 3 most unique stay of all time; beyond the other 19 hotels/resorts. The Old Town was great to walk around and this hotel is right in the middle; shops & restaurants everywhere. At the end of the day I’m glad I experienced this stay. It’s definitely worth checking out.

The house has personal touch from the owner's collecting items, full of history from previous owners, too which align to the vibes of Songkla old city. Very friendly and intimate atmosphere. Breakfast are all yummy! Don't miss Roti and curry. Great conversation with Mae, the onwer, as he explained the local's way of life. I thoroughly enjoy my stay here and really hope to be able to stay here when I'm back next time.

Stylish Hotel with a very courteous host

We loved our stay at the Baan Nai Nakhon. It is situated right in the middle of the old town. The building from the 19th century has been lovingly and inventively renovated. Breakfast in the local style was gorgeous, and, above all, the owner is an exremely friendly and helpful person. We appreciated his way of running the place and his hospitality a lot. Thank you Danny!

Lovely guesthouse in historical Songkha's heart

This is a great guesthouse, recommended by a local friend, in an old Chinese shop house in the heart of Songkhla's historical area. This is not a fancy place, but certainly one those traveling away from the most popular tourist spots in Southeast Asia will find quite pleasant and comfortable. The owners made the rooms very comfortable while retaining the historical charm of the place. The beds are firm and quite comfortable. Traditional local breakfasts, which are served in the courtyard when it is not raining, are delicious and include lots of fresh tropical fruit. The hosts, Danai and his wife, are extremely nice and helpful, taking us to get train tickets and accompanying us on a tour on a day when there were no other guests. Ban Nai Nakhon is definitely a good value and above the ordinary Songkhla hotels in quality..

This is a lovely small hotel situated in the old town district of Songkla. The location is pretty convenient for exploring around the district. Local restaurants are nearby. The hotel is beautifully decorated, especially in the yard. Breakfast (roti) was yummy!
