Dear Sir Thank you for your honest feedback. We are happy to hear that you liked the room and our friendly staff. We apologise for the inconvenience of the renovation-noise. Your booking was a last-minute booking, which started during mid-week and there was unfortunately not much time to warn you beforehand. It seems that you didn't receive our messages, which we did send to inform you. We did, however, try to limit any inconvenience to you, by only renovating on one of the 3 days, not starting early and most of it was done, while you were out. Please note that your booking didn't include any meals, because we do not have a restaurant on site. As an added bonus, we do put some continental breakfast snacks in your room to enjoy at any time. There are so many lovely restaurants as close as 1 km from us, where English breakfast may be enjoyed. We generally get many compliments on our breakfast, but we do know that many people prefer an English breakfast - hence the suggestions. Just a correction - we are not star graded... The cold meat was definitely not polony and I do not buy from Shoprite ever. It was deli-sandwhich ham. The yogurts are always Parmalat, which is not a cheap brand. The cheese slices are also from Parmalat. More butter was available on request, but we were unaware that you needed more. The fruit juice is from Rhodes. So we cannot agree that the breakfast is cheap or of poor quality at all. Clearly this is a case of managing expectations, which we obviously didn't do very well in this case. We will review our description on Expedia, to make it clear what to expect.
