"The Guest House in Carthage is your basic 1960’s Motel that has been renovated with updated interiors and a good kiss of maintenance on the outside. Everything was clean. Nothing was particularly special, but it was what I needed near the end of a long motorcycle journey. The gentleman who checked me in was professional, kind, and polite, even lending me his carport to protect my bike from the elements and provide a modicum of security. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to a friend as an inexpensive place to lay their head for the night."

"Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. It did have an old house smell upon arrival but we cranked the air conditioning down and used an air freshening spray and that seemed to help. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the house but it was a good place to sleep and shower."
