Bask Hotel at Big Rock Landing

"We had a wonderful stay at Bask Hotel at Big Rock Landing. Our waterfront master suite was spacious and well appointed, with a comfortable bed, plenty of pillows, a sitting area, and a lovely balcony overlooking the water. There was even room to set up the full size ironing board in a separate area and the bathroom had plenty of shelving for a longer stay. We also enjoyed the calm, mostly adult atmosphere. The hotel feels classy and is far enough from the nightlife that we weren’t disturbed at night. The only thing to know for a longer stay is that, without housekeeping service (it is upon request), you may need to empty your own trash and pick up fresh towels. That was OK with us. We’d rather leave all our things out without housekeeping coming in. The staff was always accommodating when we asked, so it was a minor inconvenience. We’d happily stay again and already made future reservations."

"This was the first time staying at Hotel Atlantic Beach. The front desk staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. They checked us in quickly and easily, as well as sharing suggestions for great places to eat. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. There is a lot of pride of ownership here. It’s an awesome hotel."

"The Beacon is well-priced and a great value! Nothing fancy, but this is a vintage style motel with tons of charm. Like vintage motels, not a lot of room for belongings - a well-placed shelf would be helpful in the bathroom for vanity items. But, it is exactly as expected - small, charming, and perfect for a get-away to the beach. Very nice beach location with easy access (boardwalk through the dunes ) and a nice observation deck at the end of the boardwalk, before descending the stairs to the beach. At the motel, there is a very nice and large outdoor gathering area for relaxing and hanging out in the evenings, suitable for larger groups and also small private seating areas. The room was updated recently and clean, with a very comfortable bed. A few restaurants and stores are within walking distance, but the location is nicely suited in a slower paced section of the island."

"Hotel was clean, inviting and comfortable. They had a band playing on Saturday afternoon which we enjoyed from the balcony. Good breakfast the next morning. My only dislike is the shower. I am not a fan of the 1/2 glass shower. Water goes out on the floor and it's not convenient for more than 1 person to be in there."

"Great location in Beaufort for walking in the downtown area where there are shops, restaurants and lots of history. The grounds are kept tidy and there is a shady courtyard with seating for outdoor relaxing. They offer a variety of unique room types depending on your needs. You can see the setup choices on their website. My room was spacious with high ceilings and a fan to circulate air. Clean and inviting. The cooling and heating unit was easy to operate and accurate. Complimentary breakfast is available and brought to your room. Well managed. Locally owned and operated."
