About this property

Historic "Woody" Cabin on the River at Miramichee Falls with Kayaks

  • Unwind at this historic cabin on the river at Camp Miramichee Falls in Hardy, AR. This original stone cabin was built in 1940, used by the Zonta Foundation, then by YWCA Camp Miramichee until 1979. Its history and craftsmanship make it a unique find to spend a relaxing getaway. Stone floors and walls keep it cool in the summer. The original stone fireplace is cozy in the winter. Though the modern central air and heat are a nice touch!
    You will feel like you are in a treehouse perched above the Southfork of the Spring River. Your cabin is directly overlooking river. You have your own firepit on the waterfront and you may use our kayaks around the cabin area. This cabin is approved for adults only (18+) for safety reasons (proximity to the river and heights). We are long-time hosts and we are excited to be joining VRBO. We look forward to hosting you.

Our "Woody Cabin" stay was nothing short of fabulous! The cabin is the most unique property we have ever rented...beautiful, cozy, & rich in history. The bed was dreamy & there were multiple spots to curl up & read or nap. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook all of our meals! The location is gorgeous...we thoroughly enjoyed kayaking the Spring River! Lynn & Jay are the consummate hosts...they thought of everything & communication was the best we have ever experienced. We enjoyed walking around downtown Hardy, hiking at Grand Gulf State Park, & hanging out in Mammoth Springs one day. There are several grocery stores handy & we enjoyed a couple of the local restaurants. The property was spotless & well-appointed. Truly cannot say enough good things! Don't miss this one!

The cabin at Miramichee Falls was so beautiful. We loved the old stone walls and floor. Such a beautiful peaceful place to spend relaxing by the creek. (The burn ban prevented us from having a fire BUT we were still able to really enjoy our time away on deck and swing by the creek). Super comfy bed too!! The kitchen had everything we needed. And we loved the big full fridge. We floated the South Fork of the Spring River. Rocky’s crew at Spring River Camp & Canoe picked us up right at our cabin!!!! They drove us up river about 5 miles so we could float back to our cabin. THAT WAS SO AWESOME!!! Call them for your kayaking experience!! The South Fork was completely beautiful. The most fun river I’ve ever kayaked - rocks to traverse around, 3-4 little waterfalls to go down, Ford bridges to go under, and big slow-flowing lazy water to sit back and relax. We had an awesome time!! We highly recommend Lynn & Jay’s stone cabins at Miramichee Falls AND the Spring River Camp & Canoe!!

What a beautiful and well-equipped property the “Woody” cabin is! We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful and relaxing stay. We loved sitting in the screened-in porch, listening to the rushing river and feeling the breeze blow through the trees. We also enjoyed sitting in the swing by the river. The living room is cozy with a large tv for watching a show, and the bed was very comfortable. We were truly impressed with how well-preserved this historic property is, and Lynn and Jay keep it immaculate. They are superior hosts in every way. We definitely want to return to this property, and we would highly recommend it to others.
