"Hardly anyone at the resort. A lot of work going on next-door early in the morning that was not disclosed by the time they had all their fees and taxes. I ended up over $300 for a room for one night when the initial price was in the low 200. Breakfast was not included a beautiful view from my room."

"Overall the property needs maintenance. Rusty moldings and gates. Pool was in the process of being restored. Art/ hangings in the halls were shabby looking. Our unit had no internet Tv in the bedroom. The unit was clean and properly maintained. Housekeeping properly kept up our room for us. Staff was very pleasant, hospitable and eager to accommodate us and to ensure our stay was pleasant. We practically had the entire beach to ourselves as it was during off peak time. "

"We had hoped for an ocean view. The view was a tiny little view over the top of buildings. We were on the bottom floor which we personally don’t like. The bathroom left a lot to be desired. One could barely open the door without hitting the toilet and by that I mean there was less than half an inch between the door opening and the toilet. The shower was nice except it backed up and took forever to drain. The carpet was nasty with large stains. The beds were nice and comfortable. I expected more of a Marriott property. It did have a nice pool and nice beach access. "

"Check-in was great! Very friendly, informative check-in. When we arrived to the room (which was a balcony beach view, suite in the beach tower) we were so excited that it was so amazing! I told my friend, “This may be the cleanest, best place I’ve ever stayed!” It was short-lived. When we returned back from dinner, there were roaches on the counter. As we killed them, more kept coming from under the stovetop. You’ve never seen two women pack up so fast! The front desk was extremely apologetic. The only room they had left was a standard room (in the resort tower)-someone had stolen the coffee pot, the room phone didn’t work and the only thing you could see from the balcony was a palm tree that blocked your view from anything. We had no choice but to stay the night, as it was 11pm at this point. We checked out the next morning and went home. We wasted two days of our vacation that we can’t get back. The hotel did refund our money, however the host did not refund the VRBO fee. The host had the worst communication. It takes a lot of effort to plan and execute a girl’s trip- flights for my friend, arranging child care for my kids, pack for my kids and myself, gas money, drive time…all things that can’t be refunded. This was such a disappointment!!!!! We had been looking forward to this girls trip for so long(and I needed it!!!!). The resort overall was nice, however the roaches are a deal breaker and the standard room was not comparable. "
